I was wondering how on earth iPP = iPhone Upgrade Programme.

Maybe iPP is simply "iPhone Programme" or "iPhone Purchase Programme"
Well, I think what was supposed to happen was:

iUP = Upgrade Program (so shows the price in per month terms)
iPP = Payments Program (so shows the price in per month without AppleCare terms)

But, for some reason they didn't launch the 2 versions of it, and just had an iPP process.

Btw, for those who reserved iPP and want to pay upfront, that's fine - they have to pick the payment method, so i was asked which I wanted even though i'd reserved iPP :)

Haven't even had my text from DPD yet and I paid for 8.30-12 but going from what others have said it looks like I'll probably be asking for a refund on this as well

Indeed, paid for 8:30 -10:00 slot. Text says delivery between between 11:33 and 12:33. So will call for a refund. (DPD-

For all of you that have got 20th - 22nd delivery......have you been charged yet for your order? I haven't and its still processing.

Isn't IPP iPhone Payments Plan... Like IUP but without Apple Care+, so lower monthly payment and you don't get option to upgrade you have to see out the 20 months unless you pay the balance yourself.

was just passing a John Lewis store this morning & nipped in (York) at 0900.

said they have a display model but no stock in-store, so one less option to try.

Right, I'm back home from the Apple Store, coffee made, now to start the set up!

BTW, even though the Apple Store were saying no walk-ins/queuing, they had people there queuing and had Starbucks giving free coffee out!

Walked by the Stratford Apple Store on the way to work.
They were refusing to let anyone without a reservation into the store until 10am.
Said they were putting all the cancellations/no shows onto the reservation site tomorrow.

I have paid £10 to dpd for a delivery slot of 8.30 - 10.30 this morning and I have been given a slot of between 2.30 and 3.30 this afternoon. What a joke

Hello all,

I have an apple pre-order for a JB 7 128GB due between 26/09 - 03/10. However, I was lurking on the forum last night and found out that John Lewis had JB's on sale. I managed to grab one for collection tomorrow (lucky with timing I guess). Anyway my question is are the phones categorically unlocked? There seems to be some conflicting information.

A few people on this thread have said they are unlocked but when I spoke to JL customer services last night they said the phone will lock to the first network which is a bit of a deal breaker for me.

I wanted to go on the IUP but the scarcity of a JB is kind of making me buy the phone outright. The other point is ifthe phone is unlocked. Do you all think it's a better proposition from JL with the 2 year guarantee + if I buy 3rd party insurance for £70 from somewhere like Insurance to Go?

Keen to get thoughts of forum members.

I've bought iPhone's previously from JL and none of them locked to the network of the first sim. Based on my experience they're unlocked.

Just had a text come through from DPD, and it ignored my upgraded delivery slot of 08:30 to 10:30. Called customer services and they apologised, but they're not able to honour the upgraded delivery and will be refunding me my £10 by cheque...
What number did you call?
