I'm guessing all us "Preparing for Dispatch, 20-22nd " people, will go into "Dispatched" mode tomorrow. And then we can all start posting about the whereabouts of DPD/UKMail delivery drivers and what their names are?!!!!!

:p

Monday is the new Thursday.

Just called customer service to check all ok with order..... Said alls ok but highly unlikely phone will be delivered tomorrow now, more likely Thursday. Expected in Hinckley depo in the next few days and will be delivered from there

I would not be averse to switching from Voda to EE if I could get a deal like above..... BUT the biggest issue is that EE don't include EU data roaming for free (is £3 a day for 500 meg) whereas Voda give you up to 4GB a month included. As I travel quite a bit, EE could suddenly become expensive!

Yeah roaming with EE is very expensive! Their new top of the line Phone plans include free roaming but that's no good for sim only customers like us! I'd stick with Vodafone then for the time being especially if you travel a lot!

With exiting the EU, whether or not free roaming will become a reality for us is still up in limbo. At least if anything does change there is a chance you could be grandfathered in your Vodafone plan for a while. :)

As a rule Apple authorise payment before it moves on to prepared for dispatch. It doesn't often show as a charge for at least 24 hours most of the time. With lloyds I've actually got my orders before it even shows on my balance.

If there's a problem with payments you'll get an email.

Debit cards can normally hold a pre-authorisation for 7-10 days and credit cards upto 30.

I'd switch from 3 to EE if I could get that deal too. I can see they are offering 8GB for 20pm which isnt great really, think they are offering 16gb for £37pm?? I pay £23 for unlimited everything with three, while their speeds may not be as fast as EE, they are perfectly acceptable for every day usage, netflix, youtube, browsing etc...

Has it gone up recently? I'm paying £17 for I believe the same package

Just a shame their speeds are often cr*p, I've got a Vodafone sim from work and I can't believe how often it shows E, even being on 4G is no guarantee of decent speeds.

The other day with a 4/5 bar signal (and this a fairly common occurrence):

My 6s on EE gets 46Mbps at the same spot, I'd never give up my EE line for Vodafone...

I get fantastic 4G speeds at home on 3:

The one at the top was 3 this morning at 5am. The next two are my home broadband :)

Ok guys. I just spoke to Apple online about my 20-22 still on PFD since Friday. I just wanted to make sure that there were no hiccups.
Here are the highlights of their response.

Apple : I can confirm that the authorisation for the full amount has been granted. The order of the phone (which I’m sure you’re aware is shipping separately from the watch) is indeed proceeding as as per normal.

No problems at this end. I’m expect you to receive a shipping confirmation email in the very near future, probably today, for delivery on 22nd at very latest.

If you’re checking the self service pages on Apple.com/orderstatus you’ll see it update there in real time.

So all good for us 20-22's.

It WILL become a reality by the end of April next year, has to by EU Law. there is no way we would be out of the EU by then so it will have to happen. Once we are out of the EU then I guess it could change back ... but until we formally exit the carriers will still have to not charge extra for roaming EU data by the end of April 2017.

Given that other carriers are starting to implement the change earlier then EE will have to react (and is) starting with expensive tariffs as people will be locked into them for 2 years ... as opposed to same price if you don't change ... sneaky move there EE.

I believe it has. I took the sim out when the iPhone 6 was launched and it was £23 per month for 12month sim only contract. Now i believe it is up to £35 per month for same deal.

EDIT: Its £33 per month now for same deal. Only difference is mine has 4GB tethering, whereas the newest plan has 30GB tethering.

Hopefully that is the case! But I got a feeling that the talks won't take the full 2 years and that our divorce could be much quicker (and uglier):confused:

But yeah EE is a bit crafty, my guess is they are trying to milk their customers and have them locked on to a 24 month contract whilst all their other customers suddenly realise they have access to free roaming next summer! o_O

Don;t worry about not getting any movement on orders just yet.
A previous poster said another item they ordered was in Japan yet they received it the next day.
Our stock could very well be in Ireland at the moment and will be flown overnight to mainland UK for deliveries.
Hoping for tomorrow as I'm off work anyway!
Come on Apple, get your skates on :p :apple::apple::apple:

I've only ever had iPhones shipped from the UK before
