But they probably won't. I think I'm going to buy outright now even if I get one on 6am reserve. Or could just wait for my 4th oct preorder. It'll probably come next week.

I have every reason to believe they will. Myself and many others have spoken to Apple execs about the way IUP was treated this year and they've been very apologetic, almost embarrassed and ashamed by how it went down. They said they never predicted it going as badly wrong as it has and they'll make sure there's a different system in place for next year's launch.
