MB 7+ 128GB 12-18 October delivery just changed to preparing for dispatch!

Great news i think a whole batch of MB 7+ must be headed into the UK for online orders and stores.

You had a 12-18 OCT but it will arrive much earlier so i think Apple state 3-4 weeks but are delivering much earlier

It's likely those tracking numbers go strictly to Amsterdam. And technically people should probably get real tracking numbers for their own phones later - maybe tonight. I'd bet on a delivery tomorrow but who knows what the plan is.

Yep me too. I expect there is a lone DHL person in warehouse in Amsterdam slowly printing out address labels and sticking them on the individual iPhone boxes one by one by one. He will be finished sticking by 3rd October ready for delivery on the 4th
So it seems to be a common problem. Then hopefully Apple is wrong with that estimate
// hopefully the left alone DHL guy doesn't get confused and he has to start over ;)

Does anyone else think its wrong that Apple Stores are getting JB+ stock for reservations yet our pre-order phones are still processing.
It's very very annoying but there are a few good arguments to support it:
  • Spontaneous reservations mean the most dedicated (i.e. the ones glued to the reservations page) are most likely to get their hands on one, which seems fair.
  • Lots of people experience internet outages and other personal problems during the pre-order live time. In-store stock is like a second chance for these people who got unlucky. That also seems fair.
  • Apple can only estimate production levels. If they exceed their targets they can either:
    • Fulfil existing orders earlier. Problems:
      • How do you determine who to give the surplus stock to when 1) there are lots of customers with exactly the same order confirmation time and the same delivery window, 2) there are many different types of customers - e.g. business, carriers and so on.
      • Fulfilling some people's orders early will create false hope for later orders if the surplus stock was a one-off and higher production levels do not continue.
    • Send any surplus stock to stores. This is ideal as there are no promises or delivery guarantees to meet. It can be totally ad hoc.
So yes it is really annoying when like me you're stuck on processing and stores get stock but I understand why it happens.

My iPhone is being delivered by DHL as well, and yes, still in Amsterdam, cleared customs.
Will it be any earlier than the 4th for delivery?
hi there im in the same boat as you - just checked DHL Freight tracking - so yes its cleared in Amsterdam - the scheduled delivery is the 4th of October - BUT not sure if DHL will do the delivery all the way to the UK address or if it comes to the UK and perhaps UK Mail or UPS delivers it - 2 of the iPhones we ordered i.e. rose gold 7 + 128gb and Matt Black 7+ will be delivered on the 4th Oct - we still waiting for delivery updates for the Jet black 7+ which is scheduled for 18th OCT - Did anyone have their 18th oct delivery brought up quicker?

How the flip can the UPS clowns still claim no changes at all since Sat. Aledgedly still in China but due to deliver on Weds.

My UPS says 'In Transit', I don't know if that means it's on its way to the EU or whatever.

My phone is still in Amsterdam even though customs have cleared it hours ago :( chances of it being flew , processed by uk customs then dispatched to my city ready for delivery all in the next 12 hours seems so unlikely but Apple have granted wishes before :(

May have been put on another plane since then. I'm still holding out for delivery tomorrow.

Just had an awaiting payment status change for my 7+ JB. Originally paid via Apple Pay, stupid bank. Tried to change card details on the website but it still said error so called up to get it changed, now back to processing.

Hopefully you haven't been moved to the back of the queue. What is your estimated delivery date?
