Phew, called the bank and Apple and now Preparing for Dispatch. Fingers crossed there wasn't a delay.

It means delivery to Amsterdam. Add another day to the estimate and it should be about right.
I know this has probably been asked and answered a million times. However I can't find it going back a few pages. In other people's experience how long does it take to change from PFS to Dispatched?
I'm confused guys . So is there a new group that has left china for Amsterdam now ? And ours who's been in Amsterdam since Bloody Sunday getting ours tomorrow and this group is now having there's sent ?
Apple Pay failed on order, called them straight away, changed the card, just had a call from Ireland confirming my order, so should move to PFD shortly

Are you saying that the delivery to my door should be one day after if gets to Amsterdam? Mine says the 5th October for estimated delivery, but that is further away than a day after if hits Amsterdam. Is that another furthest away estimate by Apple just to be safe do you think?
Yeah. Mine was due on the 4th but I'm getting it tomorrow.
Less than 24hrs for me. I'd probably say about 17 hours.

That's awesome. So did you get a UK tracking number once it hit The Netherlands, which is then easier to track?
That is NOT GOING TO YOU YET !!! - it is up to Apple to decide how to ship these to the UK for distribution - as Apple said the final tracking number will be updated on the order page

To anyone that does a store pickup and can't make it yourself, you can nominate a 'pickup contact' on your order - not sure if you can do it yourself online, but I rang Apple and they did it for me and I could see the details on the order straight after.
I sent my GF to pick up her own phone as she was closer to the store than I am - that's me done with iPhone orders for the year having now spanked out £1,838 on iPhones Thanks to @l3uddz for the pushbullet script, was a massive help.

Thanks to @l3uddz for the pushbullet script, was a massive help.Yeah. My current estimated delivery date has changed to today which is a bit optimistic. DHL say it'll arrive tomorrow. Yours will also update once they have scanned in your phone.
I still don't get how Apple and DHL say it will be with me, delivered, tomorrow, but it hasn't budged from information received in the Netherlands?

You can only do that for online orders to pick up in store. Not for reservations.
I need to know about doing the reservation under my Apple ID and then my partner then going and getting it and going on iUP. As reservation will be in my name and heard stories that only the named person can get it.
