Sorry, have an S7 and 6S Plus. iPhone is faster at everything, in some cases a lot. The S7 has a nicer screen, but the color is off. That's because neither Android or Samsung has color management, while iOS does. If you like cartoon colors, the S7 is for you.

iPhone has superior video (and does 1080P at 120 FPS which Samsung lacks the horsepower to do). IF you take time to set up your shots the S7 it can take better pictures. But only slightly better, and in day-today shooting that most people do the iPhone will producethe better result.

There's no equivalent to 3D Touch on the S7, but I'm sure Samsung will get around to adding it.

S7 is using inferior UFS storage (after bragging when the S6 was the worlds first phone to use it) while getting left behind by Apples superior implementation of NVMe (which nobody else uses yet). S7 is also using inferior software encryption while the iPhone has had it since the 3GS.

But hey, the S7 is definitely shinier. Add some widgets and animated wallpapers and your Honda Civic is all decked out.

Care to explain in what exact situations the iPhone 6s Plus is faster at everything? I've got both and I'm happy to test the same situations, cause I'm somewhat at loss to see this major performance jump you talk about.

I prefer using my iPhone 6S plus as the daily driver, and the s7 is a limited edition, so just a collectors piece, but I'm intrigued by this performance issue.

I am In A similar situation as you are. My SE is my daily use phone and my 6s Plus is my in between my iPad and SE, which I use almost as Tablet if I decide not to use my iPad for whatever reason, as long As I have wifi. I initially had the 6S Plus as a daily phone, until I decided it was a little to large for carry. But it serves
Me well now. I'm glad I kept it.

OTOH my kids are always complaining when playing games. I know they whine about Hearthstone primarily, but when given a chance to pick a device to play they always grab my iPhone over the S7, specifically because of the occasional stutters (which can be distracting in quick action games). I find djay 2 to occasionally lag and stutter, and considering my 5S could run the App flawlessly I consider this unacceptable. I also get stutters when viewing long web pages and scrolling quickly and with some very large PDFs I open.

I'm not saying the S7 is slow, but considering the processor it has it shouldn't have these hiccups. The really funny thing is now that I'm running iOS 10 beta I'm also experiencing lag/stutters (common on iOS betas). SO lately the phones have been pretty much identical.

Edited: Since you state you like your 6S Plus as your daily driver, I'm interested in knowing the reasons you prefer it. For me the primary one is Apps. Hardware is useless without software, and none of the good software I use in iOS has any worthy equivalent in Android.

That makes no sense since the 6/6s has more antenna lines. The iPhone 7 is much better looking...
I don't understand how your iPhone would be more ugly than the newest iPhone 7. In any case, I can look past certain things. It's all user preference. I guess we will see at the Keynote.
What the hell are you talking about,a modified iPhone 6:eek:.headphone jack removed and center antenna line erased camera bump made more bigger and that's it( thanks to jony lve what a great designer he has become after Steve Jobs). Don't you guys understand it is still a iPhone 6 and better they should rename it iPhone 6 ME(modified edition) :(. And there will be nothing wrong with it as majority of buyers will know, and the first impression out of the box will be "ah!! it's so striking similar to my previous iPhone 6"

I actually like the design of the 6S. Wished it was available in 4".

At this point, all I REALLY care for is the next iPhone being waterproof.

Me if the 3.5" jack is removed and replaced with dongle.

Oh man I'm with you on that one.

Essentially the 6s design is available in the SE, only differing in the iPhone body chassis. All the same power and software in a 4 inch phone. Unless you absolutely prefer the exact design from the 6s into a smaller form figure of course.

And if the 3.5 Jack is deleted, the iPhone would be one step closer to waterproofing or at least water resistant.

You know, when I talk about 'design', I actually do mean the appearance, not the internal specs. I own the 5S and even after almost 3 years, still don't really like it ... I miss the 3GS design, THAT was so charming to your hand.

And yup, my hope for removing the 3.5 jack is that it's in order to make it waterproof. That strange-looking camera bulge might be another hint...

What is a modified headphone jack? You mean deleted? Anyways, I have read your previous posts and all you seem to care about is two things, antenna bands and a camera bump. Then please keep your iPhone 6, stay miserable about it and let those who want to enjoy the purported iPhone 7 do so. I will be rejoicing with the latest iPhone technology in September, while I expect to read the exact same posts from you, stating "Those ugly antenna bands and ugly camera bump." But I will certainly let you know how much I appreciate the iPhone 7 when it is released, by then, you will be complaining about the 2017 iPhone, which is more than a year away. Sounds about right.

The S6 had a color accurate RGB mode and I doubt they took it away in the 7.

I use a slim case so the camera bump is a good thing, could care less about how antenna bands are located. But the deal breaker is the missing headphone jack, no 7's for my family. Waterproofing has no bearing on the headphone jack, they can be made water proof just like the lightning connector can. Apple is just being heavy handed so they can stuff it for now.

Great!! thank God huge relief:D.Now Coming to the point what's exciting you this munch in the iPhone 7 aka 6ME this much, maybe i willbe missing that please write in detail:)

6ME? So...you blatantly make believe their is an iPhone 6ME to be released? Interesting. I will certainly list all my favorite concepts to you regarding the iPhone 7 when I am through completing my list. In the mean time, can you provide a source of where Apple decided to call the iPhone 6ME? I think that would be fascinating to read.

I never had the luxury of owning iPhone 3GS. I do believe if the 3.5 Jack is removed, I think it will be more entitlement to water resistant and/or waterproofing. That's an interesting point about the camera bump, maybe he could contribute to waterproofing?

Come on Guys , apple says the phone comes out in the fall .. Every year for the past 9 yrs they launch on a Friday which makes most sense... I would bet my life it won't be on Monday the 12th of Sept.. This is not a valid source as far as the past iPhone launches. .. When they say the phone will be released in the fall , when does the fall start here in US ? Sept 21 right , it has to be after that date.. Which means the first friday after the 21st will be the 23rd of Sept... I will bet anyone here that's the date the iPhone 7-7 plus will launch. Anyone like to bet me ? I been working for att in retail for the last 9 yrs ... Come on challenge me ? NEVER HAS AN IPHONE LAUNCHED ON A MONDAY ... Duhhhhhh

Professor Reilly,

The likeliness of a leak being a prediction is unlikely as you asked. Thus a leak is information in which was somehow discovered through an unknown/known source, in order for the leak to be established as a prediction, the prediction has to have a point of origin, hence the leak indicating when, where, what and how. A leak is only credible until it is traced for legitimacy and evidence it exists, which again, would leave a person to have a reasonable suspicion of how the leak began. A leak must first dawn, followed by a prediction of how and when.

Well that's 100 words but I'm grading on a curve so you get a B for effort.

A leak is information from a source with knowledge of something that is otherwise secret. A prediction is an educated guess about something that may happen. If a secret is leaked, it can longer be predicted. A "leaked prediction" is an oxymoron. It has to be one or the other.

Exactly. The leak must occur first, a prediction cannot exist without it and follows there after. There has to be an Origin for the prediction in any situation.

No, a prediction does not by any means require a leak, only the ability to make a reasoned guess based on information that is not necessarily a secret. In fact the leak, assuming it is accurate, forecloses the prediction entirely because the thing subject to prediction is already known. The point being, the writer of this article painted himself into a rhetorical corner. Is the person who made the "prediction" reporting actual inside information, or is he just guessing? We don't know. He is described in the article as a "leaker." Does that mean he is leaking the information himself, or is he passing along information someone with actual knowledge leaked to him? We don't know. This might seem like a pedantic point, but it goes to the logic and credibility of what is being reported. Bottom line, we can't know whether this report is based on something or nothing. Good thing it isn't about something really important.

I will give heartstone a go. The S7 I bought is for collector purposes, it's the batman edition, as I'm a batman fan, so it will remain in pretty much pristine condition , I've been a iPhone user for the last 10 years, so old habits die hard and my preference is to use an iPhone as a daily driver. From using the s7 though I was very impressed by it . I will also try heartstone on a note 4.

For me it's not as much a case of which is better, but a case of the devices and apps you have become used to , and work for you. I have an nvidia shield which I love for Kodi and music playing apps..., so use that on trips, but my smartphone of choice is the iPhone.

I think the SE is awesome. Last year I had to go back to the 5S for a while, it was great. If apple removes the headphone jack on the flasgships but keeps it on the SE, the SE will be my next phone

Agree to disagree. I don't want to stray to far from the article, but a leak has to have a source, period. It has to have an origin point and how it would leave a reasonable person to believe where it is traced from. Then and only then, takes the reasonable person to predict where the leak originated, IF the person can validate the leak and its legitimacy, then yes, the prediction is now factual, which then cancels the original prediction. It's process of elimination and troubleshooting. Where I differ from you is they both can exist in the same realm, it's until and only until the prediction becomes factual, which the leak will always be a leak, rather the leak be false or true; it's irrelevant, it's still a leak. Just like the 33 plus iPhone leaks Macrumors has posted in the last 8.5 weeks. They are all leaks, if the leaks are eroneous, it still wouldn't matter. Again, once the prediction is made accurate, then the prediction is converted into factual.

Reasonable Suspicion>Probable Cause=One person believes something is likely to occur or will occur with general belief that ultimately leads to a set of facts and circumstances that the events will occur or have occurred.
