Sure, but you'll be missing other internal upgrades of the iphone 7.

Dual Cameras.Useless for me as I plan on buying the regular size version.I dont want a dinner plate for a phone .Sorry
4 cores? The usual performance boost like the tri core A8X upgrade from the iPad Air to the Air 2
3 gigs-I dont want a dinner plate phone
New memory options-Irrelevant as I always get the 128 gig model.Who buys those low storage options anyway? And is STORAGE space a upgradeworthy feature?

Antenna bands-Ok so this is the only NEW feature.
Headphone jack-Care to explain how it helped my experience of the phone in any way?

Now 3D Touch in comparison was a game changer. It existed on the norml size phone
I trust apple on the naming convention. Not internet posters.:p

Pre-order supplies of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus are starting to dwindle, with several of the new iPhone models now displaying shipping estimates ranging into November. Pre-orders began at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday, September 9, and it took less than 20 minutes for supplies of popular models to begin selling out.

Models in the new Black and Jet Black colors are the most heavily affected in the United States. Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus devices were initially quoted delivery times of late September and orders placed now won't ship until November, while the Black iPhone 7 Plus lists shipping estimates of two to three weeks.

Jet Black iPhone 7 models ship in two to three weeks, while Black iPhone 7 models ship in one to two weeks. Supplies of other colors are better, but may dwindle as the day goes on. At this rate, customers who wait to pre-order a Black or Jet Black iPhone will need to wait several weeks.

Shipping estimates in Apple's online stores for other countries such as the UK, Australia, and France are also starting to dwindle, with many Jet Black models also listed as shipping in two to three weeks.

Though pre-order supplies of some models of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus are beginning to sell out, it may still be possible to get an iPhone on launch day by visiting an Apple retail location on Friday, September 16.

Yesterday morning, Apple warned that iPhone 7 and 7 Plus supplies could be constrained in an announcement stating pre-order sales statistics would not be shared. According to Apple, early iPhone 7 sales will be dictated by supply, not demand.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come in 32, 128, and 256GB configurations, with five color options: Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Black, and Jet Black. In the United States, iPhone 7 pricing starts at $649 for the 32GB model. The 128 and 256GB models are priced at $749 and $849, respectively. iPhone 7 Plus starts at $769 for the 32GB model. The 128GB and 256GB models are priced at $869 and $969.

Money won't be taken out till the product ships. :) At least that's how mine always works.

so question ...... i am on AT&T but since they were all out of the one (jet black) I want (in like 5 minutes) I reserved a t-mobile model. And i am with the apple upgrade program so the phone comes unlocked. will I have problem using it? I'm in US
No, you should be fine with both At&t and T-Mobile being GSM. When you get the phone, insert your SIM card, follow the instructions on the device and you should be fine. :)

You did not counter any of my points resorting to a one liner so I assume you indirectly agree that the iPhone 7 is a lesser upgrade over the 6s than the 6s was over the 6

I can say that I disagree to the amount of upgrade. Sure the 6 was a radical structural change, but the 6s was a complete snooze for me.

The peek and pop was not interesting at the time but has become more interesting as the developers have caught up.

This phone really pushes batter life. It has also dropped the headphone jack which had gotten me off my tail to get some Bluetooth headphone and they are great.

Water resistance is quite a nice bonus and the new stereo speaker is huge for how I use the phone.

Often it isn't what is cool that matters but what matters to the cool :D :D :D

you assumed that is the point. That one liner is yours btw and is a way of providing a somewhat snarky response without a real answer not furthering the conversation. It's just as much as an upgrade over the 6s as the 6s was over the 6. But you call it a 6se for no reason when Apple calls it a 7. That's a discussion?

I did further the conversation.I gave a justification why those features are not the same as 3D Touch.Half of what you listed was on the bigger phone.I dont want a dinner plate phone.3D Touch came for all phones. So tell me what's in it for me?

I gave my reasons also.

As for what's in it for you. How do I know that and why is that a forums business? This is quite the inane conversation that we participate in, but you're entitled to your opinion.

You gave your reasons for the Plus model when I was clearly talking about the smaller size version. The SMALLER version deserves to be called SE because it does NOT HAVE any unique feature like 3D Touch.

I found that the iPHONE 7 PLUS jet black seems like to be able to PICK UP at retail apple store start from Sep 16. and iPhone 7 is "currently unavailable" IS THAT MEANS I AM ABLE TO ORDER ONLINE AND GET AN iPHONE 7 PLUS JET BLACK DIRECTLY FROM THE APPLE STORE AT SEP 16TH?

Water resistance, stereo speakers, force touch home button. Improved display. New wide angle camera. 7mp front facing camera.

Are you really getting an iPhone 7?

I thought you detested the iPhone and all things Apple and were happy with your S7?

OMG, to the ME, ME, ME generation with immediate gratification issues which has to wait:

There are people starving all over the world, kids being bombarded in Syria,
terrorist attacks etc.etc.

Imagine that, these people don't want iPhones, just a better life or safety!

PLEASE LEARN HOW TO WAIT.
YOU LIVED YOUR ENTIRE LIFE WITHOUT THIS PHONE.

I promise Apple will make more and you will get yours in whatever configuration you want.

In the meantime enjoy your current iPhone or phone . They still work until you get the new one (Just a wild guess)

Ah shut the hell up and help those poor people instead of letting us know how bad we are. You are the equivalent of a vegetarian.
[doublepost=1473658863][/doublepost]
I don't understand the rush for this for this phone, especially those on a 6S. No one will even notice you have the new phone. No apps will make use of the A10 yet and your sound quality from headphones is degraded, with no ability to charge at the same time (without paying extra). And you're getting a horrible home button that drains the battery each time its pressed with haptic feedback (aka vibration).

The 6S genuinely has more features, albeit not _quite_ as good a camera.

*Puzzled*

So the new home button is draining battery but the phone has an average of 1-2 hours more battery compared to a 6s. How does that work?
How is sound quality degraded?
And how does the 6s have more features?
Long weekend?
[doublepost=1473659317][/doublepost]
When hasn't demand outstripped supply?

When you are Samsung ;)

Well they claimed that last year they underestimated the demand for the S6 edge and that it took them months to catch up with demand. The note 7 was back ordered in the UK, however it never officially came out because it got recalled on its intended launch date.

My 256GB Black has shipping for November here in Australia. Oh well the plus is if I'm in the last month of my plan it's a $0 cost upgrade, else it's $60. My plan finishes on Nov 11, so this is almost a win, but in reality it's not.... I want my phone now lol

Anyone have ideas about this?

Ugh. I stayed up until 3am for this. I was so ready. Couldn't have been more ready. Used the  store app, tried to buy using AT&T Next, didn't work, tried again paying in full, didn't work, tried and tried and tried. FINALLY the order went through around 3:40am, but by that time the shipping estimates had slipped to November! :( Pickup wasn't available at my nearest  store, and I didn't want to prolong the process by checking other stores, I just wanted the dagnabbit order to go through. I really need that phone, because my 6 Plus is shattered, and I have big events coming up that I need that awesome 7 Plus camera for! Wondering how I can get my hands on a 256GB AT&T Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus in the next couple weeks. I would go to a store on launch day, but I'm pretty sure all the Jet Blacks and even Blacks are going to be spoken for already. I called Best Buy and the  store and seems like I'm S.O.L. *sigh* Any ideas?

Why is the jet black so popular, I prefer the silver white...I don't understand why Apple always has a shortage on new phones?

Could be two reasons.

1. Apple limits demand on purpose to create buzz
2. IPhone buyers flock to the new colors to prove they got a new phone

I'm going with #2!
