Hi,

got my iPhone 7 black today. But the quality/finish of the camerabump is absolutely terrible. This is not the standard I expect from a product that costs 860 Euros!! It is suttle but I saw it instantly when I held the phone in my hand for the first time.

Is your quality better? Maybe there is something wrong with the production process!

What should I do: Go to apple store?, Send it back?, Do nothing?

I live in Germany and I fear that they don't have any stock for replacement!

Thanks for replies guys!

Apple is having another outstanding product launch while Samsung's phones are catching on fire. Which has been the lead story on national TV news in the US.

So I guess we can say both the iPhone 7 and Note 7 are on fire. Heheh

After much debate, I ordered it. And by ordering I mean I ordered a fitbit.

Thanks Apple for being a complete let down!

Dude: nearly spit coffee all over my laptop watching the video and laughing; mainly when the guy pops the confetti and the two guys saunter into the store!

Meanwhile, in Denmark they really are feeling the novelty of iPhone 7. Way to go, Tim.

This is an awesome video that really captures world attitude. Awesome post! :)

Sure Angela wants to have more online ordering, so that has a lot to do about it. But I really feel that Tim is the guy who thinks he is the party and he shows up in his party gear, but shows up to party by himself.

Timmy, just take your millions of stock and just GTFO! Let someone like Craig Federighi show you how to run a company, and I mean not into the ground this time!

Be transparent, release the opening weekend sales figures, Apple!
This will never happen, for several reasons all of which are justified. It's just business.

Just gonna say it. Buying an iPhone 7 is incredibly stupid and short sighted.
I disagree. It's not stupid but it's not a value proposition. For those who have a need it's understandable, but as an upgrade it's marginal at best.

iPhone 7 presented Apple users an opportunity to vote by not opening their wallet and enriching Apple. Some may take this golden opportunity... I have.

I went from a 6+ to a regular 6s, and I have admit I miss the screen size. My spouse, on the other hand, likes the smaller screen, but larger storage. We skipped the release-day hysteria and upgraded last November, so if we decide to upgrade this year, I'll get the entry-level 7+ and my spouse the 128GB 7. We may skip this one and wait for the 8, but I have a feeling it will be 6 months after release before we're able to because there's going to be high demand. Look at the demand for the 7 and that's barely an upgrade from the 6s.

I'm finally going to take the plunge for the Apple Watch -- probably Series 1 because I don't swim, always carry my iPhone with me (so GPS isn't that significant), and a lower price.

I think Iphone 7 will be available in mass quantities quite soon. Apple lowered their productions numbers for a reason, as they knew the 7 wouldn't be that popular. Many of Apple's suppliers also reduced their financial forecasts because of low demand.

After all the sheep have picked them up, there will be lots available, maybe not in the colour you want. I know I'm probably picking up a S7 as I can't support Apple when they release such lame product.

As for the Apple watch, I'm glad the price came down. Not sure it's enough as I think low end smart wearables are doing a great job. The fitbit charger 2 is pretty nice. It's sad because after being a loyal apple customer for more than a decade, I'm looking at other companies till Tim stops dragging his feet. I love macOS, I hope they don't screw the hardware so much that I completely leave the ecosystem.

Can't say I saw many people when I went to the Apple store here in Brussels, neither in the re-sellers. I get the impression a lot of people, myself included, will skip the iP7.
I don't know what to do, I was due to upgrade to the 7 but I just don't want to do it.
I don't want a phone with only a lightning jack. I want to charge and listen at the same time with my 3.5mm headphones

Why? Even poor people can now buy the new iPhone every year.
Someone who can afford an iPhone is not poor.

$40 a month isn't exactly some 1% thing.

This is getting off topic. But my point to my original quote is that it's not nearly as expensive as it used to be to get a new iPhone every year.

Yes people can be at or below poverty line but they do choose to spend money on things they "can't afford" like phones, TVs and expansive clothes or shoes. While I don't care to look, I'm sure there are government subsidized cell phone programs as well.

My point is that poor people can't afford iPhones like you were stating.
