Haven't renamed my phone, but have gone through all those other steps many times! Guess it won't hurt to try that as well.Have you tried changing the name of your iPhone? Remove your iPhone from the Bluetooth devices in your car, then on your iPhone Bluetooth choose your car and select 'Forget this device'. Rename your iPhone and pair again.
[doublepost=1476813225][/doublepost]Well, I tried that, but you still can't change/select music via the car, but have to keep picking up the phone to do it. Also, doesn't solve the hands-free phoning issues. It's illegal in Illinois to drive with a phone in your hand (although I know, I know...so many still do it!)For BMW drivers just play your music through the the USB ports. The audio quality is better than Bluetooth and you can charge at the same time. I've had no problems so far.

Tried renaming my phone like you mentioned & it surprisingly seemed to work... for a few days & then back to the same issues again! =( I just updated to the 5th Beta this morning... have to see how that works out tonight after work!Have you tried changing the name of your iPhone? I'm with you - and loaded beta 5 yesterday - it held for 5 connections then 'pairing failed' also I'm getting audio drop outs. - I called apple two days ago they recommended I restore my iTunes back up - I did but no good - I'm gonna call and get this 7 plus replaced.Tried renaming my phone like you mentioned & it surprisingly seemed to work... for a few days & then back to the same issues again! =( I just updated to the 5th Beta this morning... have to see how that works out tonight after work!

went with beta up to beta5 - then loaded the release of 10.1 on Friday - STILL have 'paring failed' (kia soul) - had apple send me OUT a NEW 7+ - ... Problem remains - DAMN
I believe beta 2 did work for me but the betas came along very fast and it was 3-5 (non of which worked for me) - IF B2 working for you - stay there for now - because b5 - then release 10.1 ain't working for me.Did Beta 2 work for you? I didn't want to keep rolling the dice by upgrading through each beta version, but beta 2 worked great in my 2012 Hyundai Tucson. 10.1 Final broke it again though for sure, and Beta 2 is no longer signed so I can't downgrade back to it. Ugh.

As I said much earlier in this thread, it is not an iOS 10 issue. It is a failure to be current on Bluetooth errata by BMW.This is still an issue with 10.2!
I'm on the wrong thread then as I don't have a BMW.As I said much earlier in this thread, it is not an iOS 10 issue. It is a failure to be current on Bluetooth errata by BMW.
The similar issue I observed with the Polar V800 triathlon watch was resolved by software and firmware updates from Polar. The issue that this thread is centered on will be fixed by BMW or not at all, since it is their failure.
