I was able to order one at 2:45est. It said a shipping date of sept 16th
I went straight through the at&t website and it didn't take too long.

I was more referring to the fact that you had to have an account with one of the big 4 carriers in order to buy the phone last night. If you were looking to just buy the phone without a carrier affiliation, you were out of luck. I wish Apple was more clear about that. If you live in the US and don't have an account with Sprint, ATT, Verizon, or TMobile, you can't have a phone on launch day. I wish they would be very clear on that.

Now that phones are no longer subsidized, there is no real reason to pay the high prices of the big 4 carriers, so many of us prefer to buy our phone and take it to any budget carrier we want. Apple is saying that they don't want us to be able to have a launch day phone unless we are with the "big 4". It's their right to do that, I just wish they said it clearly so I know that I can't have a 7 on a budget carrier until later on.

My experience is to pick it up at the store and get the verizon or t-mobile, which are both unlocked and you can put your sim in from any other carrier and recycle it turn it off and on and voila you have your same carrier. It's worked that way since the iPhone 6

Go to hell Verizon. I want to pay FULL COST on an unlocked model, yet I'm being told I'm not "upgrade eligible." Uhh, FULL COST you morons. It's so stupid we can't just buy completely unlocked phones without the bs of getting carriers involved.
Until I can just buy my new iPhone 7 (unlocked with no carrier involvement), I'm not biting. Apple - when you get your mind right and sell an unlocked phone with no other strings, I'n not buying.

Ordered pretty late in the day yesterday to do a JUMP! program upgrade with T-Mobile. I was very happy to see they still had launch day deliveries.

Can't wait for my 32GB/Rose Gold.

After so many launches, I am surprised that they can't strike a better supply and demand balance.

Is it possible to order online but trade in my iPhone 6 as well? How? How can they assess how much they will give me for my phone online?

Really?

If they had enough supply it wouldn't be so special. People would stop waiting at the computer for the click to tick over to midnight PDT to mash that reload button until the store goes up. They could just order next week, or next month or whatever. Opening quarter sales are built upon the "struggle" of the product to satisfy demand. "If you want to have one you better order now, or you're going to have to wait for several months."

if this phone is "one continuous piece" it should be rally interesting for Ifixit tear-down..

...oh okay...shame they can't this without infuriating iPhone Upgrade Program customers.

My sister lives in the US, whereas I live in Canada so she preordered a T-Mobile iPhone 7 128GB in Rose Gold for me as it's much cheaper even after the exchange rate. On the site, it says these phones are unlocked but come with a T-Mobile SIM.

Since she had to enter her account info when ordering, will there be any isuse that she isn't the one that will be using it? Also, do the phones come with the SIM card already inside? If they do, would I still be able to use it in Canada with my carrier (Fido)?

Flat black 7+ 256GB Verizon, just ordered around 1:00pmEST with a ship date of 9/23. Hoping it will get moved up, but no worries I have patients. I am upgrading from a 5s 16GB, which honestly runs great on iOS 10. I can't believe I was given $400 trade-in value.

How did you get a trade-in value of $400 for an iPhone 5S?!
