I wish I could. But even if I go that way, it still insists on me selecting my carrier. Then, it tells me that pickup is currently unavailable on all colors (it can see my zipcode). I could get one shipped in 2-3 weeks, except it won't let me ship since the PO Box is on my ATT record, which they are seeing (never mind that my Apple shipping address is not a PO Box).Odd. Mine went through just fine, even though I changed carriers to Verizon. My advice is just to reserve an in-store pickup for a fully paid model and see if they can take care of it in the store.
I wonder if you have the problem I did - My Apple store profile has my home address, but the ATT bill goes to a PO Box. Apple won't ship to a PO Box, so it automatically told me I had to pick up at a store - only there was no availability left at any store in my area for any color.still getting a wrong zip code/social error through apple's store when trying to pre-order an at&t phone...
***** sigh, this is pathetic.
Trying to use Apple upgrade for a 7 Plus, T-Mobile, 256, in Gold, but NO preorders are available for a 7 Plus with T-Mobile in NJ USA
I just enrolled in the Apple Upgrade Plan today, but for future releases and to give the program another perk nobody else has, Apple should email their Upgrade Plan customers the day of the iPhone announcement and allow them to give advanced notice that they want to upgrade as long as they do so within 24 hours or something. Would take a lot of pressure off the servers on the pre-order date and get them a lot more customers using their plan. Just a (wishful) thought.
Will never happen. Apple already has IUP people locked in to revenue stream so there is no benefit to giving that perk. What Apple really wants is *new* customers, so if anything, look for subtle benefits going to them instead of existing customers...
Did anyone have any success with the Upgrade Program in the UK? The link for making a reservation was broken (directed to the US Apple home page) until about 8:40am, and as soon as it was up every store was sold out of 7 Plus except Rose Gold or Gold...
Insanely frustrating...
You may need to port the number to a flip phone and then hers to yours and then flipphone to hers.Question for anyone who may know.
I ordered 2 phones (7 and 7+) but registered the phone numbers in the reverse order. In other words I registered my wifes number for the 7+ and mine for the 7. She wants the 7 and I want the 7+. Will we be able to switch that upon activation? Thanks.
EDIT: We're with Sprint.
Same here. I had the app open on my iPhone and the website open on my MacBook. The app got on first but when it came to the upgrade reservation it bumped me out to Safari. The reservation website then never loaded despite refreshing after each timeout.
The store on the website went live and I experienced the same problem as you; a redirect to the US store.
When I went back later I'm sure the location on the website for reservations had changed to a drop down banner thing than it was at first but I might be mistaken.
When it finally started working I had the same problem with nothing I wanted available. This was about 25-30 mins in and I knew I was screwed by then. I was just hoping that the reservations were screwed for everyone and that no one was able to reserve anything and therefore I'd stand an equal chance once I got into the store Long with everyone else.
I did notice on the reservation page it says to check back on launch day for appointments so maybe there's a glimmer of hope, but I'm not expecting much.
Annoyingly I had a jet black plus in my bag with the original shippping date of 23rd sept or whatever it was. I perhaps should have bought this but wanted to go down the upgrade route ideally.
Never mind. I've been lucky on other launch days and always thought there'd be a year where I'd miss out on the good luck.
Not sure how this stands for joining the program in say November. I know you can make overpayments but if my renewal date is always November I won't be able to get the upgrade deal on launch day? Not sure.
They should be able to handle that at Sprint if Apple can't change it at their end. Otherwise just swap SIM cards.Question for anyone who may know.

Only if you are on T-Mobile or AT&T. This year those models don't have a CDMA radio. The way to get an unlocked one is to just buy it out right from tmobile right?
Yes. Both are nano SIMS.Are the SIM cards the same size on 7 and 7+?
I wonder what will be the major flaw the first batch could have? Each full "redesign year" seems to have those. Okay, the 7 is more a 6S(S)/6SE, but flaws are bound to happen no matter if you're Sony, Microsoft, LG, Samsung, Intel, etc.
I'm paying full price for my phone. Unlocked from Verizon. Why is the Apple site requiring me to log in with my Verizon credentials. I'm on a shared plan and don't have the credentials. This hasn't happened on previous preorders. Any way past this?
