Ample availability = Apple is doomed.

Shortages = Apple is doomed.

Apple releasing a new product any time later than the current day = Apple is doomed.

Apple putting impressive new internals in a case that LOOKS the same = Apple is doomed.

Samsung putting mediocre new internals in a case that LOOKS the same = Apple is doomed.
Preach! The Doomsayers will always be spreading their negativity.

What Tim doesn't understand that you can't take your customers for granted. S

The only people who will have a supply constraint come Sept are Android manufactures, as this 6SE won't be anything to marvel at.

Would be nice to see a headline like the one for this that says basically

Macbook Pro Facing Supply Shortages as Production Ramps Up Ahead of Launch...

or

Entire Mac Range Facing Supply Shortages as Production Ramps Up Ahead of Launch of new models

Putting out a crappy product and having long term customers jump ship = doom?

You are right that Apple isn't doomed, but don't you question your sacred Apple when they just put out mediocre products?

Steven didn't do everything perfect, but has Tim done anything right? All the products are outdated, and the ones that aren't have huge problems and/or suck!

I will call out anyone, including Apple. After 15 years as a customer, I just no longer think they put out the best products. They aren't doom, they just suck! And this year, I think they will lose me as a customer (along with the millions that are all questioning Apple).

These are going to be the best iPhones Apple has ever made. If anyone doubts Apple will struggle to meet demand for months, you're massively underestimating how huge sales are going to be yet again. Literally everyone I know and speak to is planning on upgrading to these latest and greatest iPhones.

Having the most dependable software is one reason why they don't suck. In terms of overall performance and what it brings its fair to say they are still number 1 in that regard.

great features are important for them to improve and the next year or two is when they will bring those in. Many say they leave but come back in the end in some way.

Something tells me they're not going to have to worry about it this year.
Yep. Unless there's a super secret feature they've managed to keep under wraps the punters aren't exactly going to be queuing round the block for this one.

it will still be the biggest selling phone this year. That i'm sure of.

Yup. I expected this article to surface. However, I'm not entirely sure preorders will be through the roof. I think this iPhone is not the most anticipated. Even though I'm upgrading.

We hear this every year yet there's still more people fall for it. It's just a norm now to do this and good advertising strategy. I think this is how Apple going to sell more iPhone 7 so more people will go visit the store everyday. It's going to be an intentional supply constraints but it works all the time.

Exactly. Some scarcity at launch time drives up demand and hype, inflating the initial sales which in turn is used for further marketing.

The perception created is, "Everyone must be buying this awesome thing if they can't keep them in stock, so I must have one too."

I can't believe people. After going through 9 iterations of iphones, people fall for the same hyperbole. Imagine that.

So you think the products are outdated? You are entitled to your opinion, but I'll bet the sales will show people want this product. Even the millions (not that I know how you know the exact number) are questioning apple.

Anyway Tims track record and bonus apples finances seems to speak differently than your view of what is going on with them. There always will be churn and with hundreds of millions of customers, you can't please everybody. Thank goodness for competition.

IMac and Mac Mini line up are woeful at present even the most ardent Apple fan would admit to this. The computer division is a shambles.

What a bunch of bovine fecal material....

This is Apple's marketing team trying to make buzz about a phone that is playing catch up to Samsung .

I have a 6+ and the bottom line is....I don't need a new phone. My screen is large, the cpu is fast and I have 64gb of ram plus a Lexar storage extender....

But Apple needs lines full of idiots at Apple stores waiting to see themselves on tv forgetting the fact they could have ordered one on line for first day delivery to their home.

Any product that is being made in the millions by definition is not scarce.but if I manage the supply chain, I can give the illusion that it is...

Every. Single. Year. It's like the ol' gas hikes story....."fire at the refinery", "equipment shutdown" etc.... always some excuse.

Come on Apple, this is old news....why some stupid excuse every damn year?

You have to imagine the powers that be at Apple have to be thinking for the first time this iPhone (iPhone 7) could be the first one that gets a very luke warm if not cold reception. It's a iPhone 6 without the headphone jack and upgraded internals. Next to no creativity went into the thing.
