I doubt it. What is going to be the big selling feature that pushes people to cash in now instead of waiting for the big bump next year's phone is supposed to be? I say this as someone that has owned every version of the iPhone since the 3G except the SE: this is the first year I have zero interest in upgrading.We hear this ever year and what happens? It sells more than predicted. It'll happen this year. As soon as you see one on their website or hold one in your hand, you'll want one.

What is the big feature? It's the new iphone and 99% of buyers aren't forum dwelling nerds (myself included) following apple products 1+ years out.I doubt it. Apple is the one that runs these headlines on products they refuse to acknowledge exist until the keynote?Hello Apple but you pull this stunt every release and we're not buying into it anymore. If the images are indeed the real deal then I think you will be fine intact you may have surplus stock !!!!!
Plastic. The answer has always been plastic around a metal frame. The phone gets better reception, it gets lighter, it gets cheaper, it gets more durable from a shock absorption perspective. It could easily be a pop off plastic shell that can be replaced for cheap when you want your phone to look like new again.
But it wouldn't look "premium". Yeah and those phones look so premium sitting in their cases for most of their life.
You've just realized Apple's secret to great marketing: supply constraints = higher demand. Apple has done this for years. New stuff comes out all the time from various companies, but when it comes out from Apple and everyone wants it but can't get their hands on it, then they want it even more. And the folks who didn't want it now all of sudden find themselves gravitating towards it a little bit.I thought Tim was the supply chain guru. We hear the same thing with every single product.
They should start production earlier. I'm sure the design was finalized a while ago. After all it's not a major exterior redesign.
I understand the inside is a more complex build but this is why the should have started assembly in June

Consumers will buy because it's better and their upgrade is due, simple as that.

Apple is doomed = Apple is doomed.Ample availability = Apple is doomed.
Shortages = Apple is doomed.
Apple releasing a new product any time later than the current day = Apple is doomed.
Apple putting impressive new internals in a case that LOOKS the same = Apple is doomed.
Samsung putting mediocre new internals in a case that LOOKS the same = Apple is doomed.
Heh..rightSpace Black 256GB is going to be difficult to get. Maybe for a change I won't max out the capacity on my iPhone.
If there's a supply shortage, Apple can tout, "We've seen incredible demand for iPhone 7. So much demand that we can't even keep up" while the shipping time on the online store page reads "Ships in 2-3 weeks."
Which.... Is what tends to happen to some extent every year.
