So, do you actually believe the drivel that comes out of your mouth, or were you a used car salesman previously?

You're dealing with people that actually understand the science. You want to BS us? You better have some scientists telling you how to fake the claims that you're making.

"pencil test" ratings are a joke.

You're saying that you can't even stand a 3 on the Mohs scale, then fine, state that! None of this ***** footing around suggesting that it's going to be more durable than what people are being led to think. Publish that figure.

"if someone can scratch the JB with their shirt" - that's the scientific test that you're throwing out there?! Dude could have had any number of particulates on his shirt when that happened!?

Seriously - unless you guys start embracing some aspects of the scientific method, all you're going to get from here are the lemmings that fall for the marketing pics. Then the pickings are going to get sparse.

ethod, all you're going to get from here are the lemmings that fall for the marketing pics. Then the pickings are going to get sparse.[/QUOTE]

I don't think you have to be so rude, I was trying to have a discussion with you about it, but I guess your one of those guys who gets challenged on there theories you don't like it and start insulting people and being rude.

I've been working with nano coatings for 15 years so I know a little bit about them and I understand a bit of science as well, maybe more than you from your comments. To say pencil tests are a joke is a little bit silly. I think you would have a hard time telling the official international testing bodies, who are scientists that invent the testing methods and carry these tests that they are all a big joke. And to say "I HAVE TO DO THIS and YOU BETTER DO THAT" you come across as a bit of a keyboard bully. You completely over looked the facts of what I wrote, in some areas I agreed with you, if you don't agree with mine thats fine, thats what forums are for to have these discussions. But to just rant your opinion without being able to back it up being rude and nasty does not work my friend.

What would drive me to buy your product is if you included a guiding tool with the coating to help autopilot the process, like how in some phone screen protectors they have a tool you put the screen protector and phone on so all you really have to do is just roll it on without worrying about precision. With this product I'm worried about overdoing it and putting it on the wrong spot
[doublepost=1475237794][/doublepost]If I learned anything from putting anything protective on the phone it's that people tend to be more careless with it thinking their method of protection will baby the phone for them, which is wrong. I actually found myself dropping my phone more times when it was on a case than when it wasn't on one. It's a subconscious thing really.

My point being that even with this anti-scratch coating, everyone should still be careful.

We are working on the application video so it's easy to understand, you can't get a much easier application than a liquid really as it will only bond to the finish of the jet black and not the glass lens or even the apple in the middle

As for you comments on the coating, it's 100% correct.

People are expecting too much protection from a liquid coating. Here is my opinion of looks vs protection (durability) chart:

@nanostate_HQ does the Onyx change the texture or feel of the back casing at all? I tried a liquid protector for my screen on another phone and it felt a bit 'sticky' afterwards - fingers didn't glide so smoothly over it.

This photo alone should tell you they're selling snake oil.
Looks like one half is the matte black.
[doublepost=1475266899][/doublepost]Phony company, they use metal to scratch test, the screen is already resistant to that. And they use a galaxy S6 edge for a water test, it is already spill proof.

Funny that, you might want to check out CNN review on the iPhone 5 and all the other phones like note 4 iPhone 6 etc... I wish you would of at least looked at the website before you leave daft comments. And the 6 edge is not splash proof, just look on youtube.

So I can splash it all over the phone and just let it bond, then wipe the rest from the glass lens and apple logo? Sorry for asking silly questions but something like this should at least be foolproof you know haha?

Yeah, I'm not clear on the application process either.

So I can just coat the entire Jet Black phone with Onyx and it will then harden? Does it get stuck in the buttons? It doesn't flake off? Will it cover and protect the whole phone?

I'm one of the knuckleheads who ordered this stuff (it hasn't shipped yet though) because I find it interesting from a product standpoint. From what I've read and watched:

1) There's three coatings - you apply one coating, wait five minutes and then apply the next.
2) Each coating consists of three droplets of the liquid on the back of the phone. You use a lint-free cloth to 'wipe' the liquid onto the back and sides of the phone - it doesn't adhere to glass, sapphire, plastic, etc. Each coating is extremely thin to the point of not being noticeable. It basically gets absorbed into the phone's finish leaving what I can only assume is a microscopic layer of dried liquid (which doesn't flake off, but will eventually wear off after 6-12 months).
3) After the third coating, you wait 24 hours before letting the phone come into contact with what it's supposed to be scratch resistant to (after that you're okay).

It's probably safer than applying a skin which requires spraying water+soap onto your phone (Apple warns that soap is a detergent that should be avoided on their water resistance guidelines help page). This of course assumes that the liquid isn't made of an abrasive/harsh substance.

I have no idea if this stuff actually works, would be glad to report back after it ships (hint, hint) and I receive and apply it.

If this ruins your jet black phone, you will regret it. You do not know if it will have a chemical reaction with the iPhones jet black coat and alter the devices color.....also isn't black onyx the color of the black note 7

This is true, but applicable to anything I've used to wash or shine my car, to clean my computer or computer screen, etc.

Hmmm... you can also order from here: http://nore-online.com/products/scratch-proof-your-iphone-7

for £19.99 + £3.00 shipping. That's £16.00 cheaper than what I paid from nanostate.

We don't know who these people are but we are checking it out, I would be very careful with that one guys, we are the only company with Onyx not even our distributors have them yet don't lose your money.

Looks just fine for splashes:
The phone in your video would have been just fine without the coating.

Lets look at the paid CNN video... ooohhh look at that, the battery percent indicator suddenly disappears in the "still working" footage. Ohhh it is back when it broke... The video is doctored. I even made you a nice picture of it, look it can charge the phone in water too!

Untitled 2.jpg

(guess you had to blur out the time right, look how crisp the before and after video is, while "during" is washed out)

Even if that sapphire water would leave some of it on the phone, it wouldn't prevent scratches, a few atoms of sapphire dust doesn't prevent ****, if it did, all phones would use it.

I don't need to really say anything I've already made you look stupid from your previous post, now your doing it yourself. You show me anywhere CNN do paid videos, even more so Dr videos, just do that then I will shut up.
Run the tap under the phone and lets see after a while what happens, you only need to see 100's S6 water damages phones. People posting video to get views is nothing new, get an S6 run it under the water if it's ok I will pay for it myself! same thing was said for the iPhone 5 look it's waterproof.

I rest my case.

Lol, I've just showed you without a doubt, that that the CNN video is FAKE and i look stupid? Are you for real? You don't even address it.

Want me to post the picture again, sure:

Your stuff didn't work, so you had to doctor the video.

I don't need to, your one of those guys who no matter what I say your have something negative to say, you ignore a dozen other videos with the S4, Note 4, Note 5, iPhone 5 and others and try to make some conspiracy theorie with CNN. So I will leave it at that.

Btw we Dr the video ? Search it on CNN website it's the same video, but we probably hacked the website and made the changes.

Well I have a video clearly showing me how much I should believe those videos.

You think it makes any difference for your reputation if was they, you or it was a joint venture? It's the only review from a somewhat credible source and it is fake. You are spewing the "CNN review" all over the internet and it is clearly a dishonest review.

Guys just use any car protective coating (acrilic or ceramic) from your local dealership/friend. It will work the same way.

Ex.: cquartz, nanolack, jetseal

Whether you're right or wrong, as a representative of a company arguing with people on message forums makes you look amateur.

If you conduct yourself in an unprofessional manner perhaps your product can't be taken seriously either?

You're not the first business to show themselves up in this way and you won't be the last. It's surprising it needs to be pointed out though because it's 'Business 101'.

I understand what you are saying, but when you have a passion for what you do and spent many years developing things it's hard not to defend it, its not arguing with anyone it's defending yourself from trolling , there's a difference between just arguing and being an idiot than defending yourself. As I'm part of this business and not a paid customer service rep "just a job" this particular comment needed to be addressed on a personal level.
