ethod, all you're going to get from here are the lemmings that fall for the marketing pics. Then the pickings are going to get sparse.

I don't think you have to be so rude, I was trying to have a discussion with you about it, but I guess your one of those guys who gets challenged on there theories you don't like it and start insulting people and being rude.

I've been working with nano coatings for 15 years so I know a little bit about them and I understand a bit of science as well, maybe more than you from your comments. To say pencil tests are a joke is a little bit silly. I think you would have a hard time telling the official international testing bodies, who are scientists that invent the testing methods and carry these tests that they are all a big joke. And to say "I HAVE TO DO THIS and YOU BETTER DO THAT" you come across as a bit of a keyboard bully. You completely over looked the facts of what I wrote, in some areas I agreed with you, if you don't agree with mine thats fine, thats what forums are for to have these discussions. But to just rant your opinion without being able to back it up being rude and nasty does not work my friend.

Holy hell. So your company has no professionally trained PR people? You just broke almost every rule in PR/customer service. Aside from whether or not the product is good, I cannot be a customer knowing your executives have not fired you already. It makes you sound like two people working out of their garage, who never went to graduate school.

To have a small business makes you uneducated? And even if we were working out of a garage does that make you a looser? Steve Jobs ring any bells? You have just insulted millions of small business in the world, you should really take a step back and look at those comments.

I'm a small business owner myself. Even if someone is pushing your button on a personal level, you got to keep your cool publicly.

Go punch a pillow or something. Hell, hate the potential customer for all I care, just never let them know.

Simple tip. Take others advice. Make a YouTube video offering to give the product to reputable techies on YouTube to do individual testing.

That should ease everyone's concerns.

I have a JB + on the way, but after spending a beautiful October day at the beach here in the OC, I can't say I even care about whether my phone gets scratched or not.

Thanks for the advise, forums are a cruel world lol, I'm out this thread! Enjoy the beach!

The (assumed) y axis is misleading. It gives a wrong impression of negative durability.

Good point. I suppose the Naked Jet Black does have a negative durability given Apples disclaimer about scratches so I guess a nano coating should put it back to 0 or what you would expect from a phones surface.

This is exactly what I am talking about. You arguing and insulting potential customers. lol.

Your logic is completely off. Being a small business does not make you uneducated. Being unprofessional does, and acting the way you have in this thread makes you uneducated. I can tell. It's painfully obvious.

There is anything wrong with entrepreneurship out of a garage like Steve Jobs. But to compare yourself to them....don't make us laugh.

If this isn't snake oil why not pick a couple doubters in this thread and send them the product to do a review ?

Based on the company rep's behavior here, he has ruled out that they invented this and are some subsidiary of a large chemical maker. My guess is it's like 1-2 guys running the show with maybe a few employees. And what they are doing is taking something like this http://www.autogeek.net/cquartz-paint-sealant.html

and rebottling it and marketing it for phones.

Nanostate Liquid Sapphire:

Some other car application based in Poland: http://www.nanoceramicprotect.com/products/ceramic-paint-protection-nano-ceramic-protect-hard-9h/

They even use the same blue colored bottle. Except you'll probably get more in the car application.

Question is:

1. This was developed for car exteriors, which do not have much contact with the skin, clothes, etc. Has this been tested to be safe to handle on a daily basis? Where people may rub their eyes or mucus membranes after handling their phone?

2. Is this company insured for any potential lawsuits or injuries? Based on how they are handling simple PR, I would guess you are going to get a less than professional response if someone does suffer damages from using their product.

Anything that is truly working at a molecular level, should NOT be used in this fashion. No gloves are being used at all in their installation videos, and I am willing to bet they did not put enough disclosures in their instructions. Most of the car stuff is required to be installed by a professional, probably not because it is difficult to install, but just to make sure people aren't working with it with without the proper safety equipment.

3M Scotchguard was used for years, and a lot of new companies are starting to sell some version of their fabric protectant for shoes. Do they work? Well, yeah. They worked. Were they dangerous? That was the subject of a lot of studies, which found that the main ingredients in Scotchguard were persistent organic pollutants which remained in the human body for YEARS. 3M eventually changed the formulation, but it is still a persistent organic pollutant, and remains in the body for months instead of years now.

So do you want to possibly protect your phone at the risk of potential health effects? For me, no. It's not worth it. Not that I know if this product is good or bad for you, or has no effect at all. Just that I don't think this "team" has done much safety testing or long term health testing: https://nanostate.co/teams/

Wow, your trolling is the worst type of trolling I have seen for a long time, you should be ashamed with yourself. It's pure speculation and you have no proof this is the case. The guy has obviously over reacted in his post but to trash him like this is out of line. I'm a small business adviser and I can see from your post that you have 0 business experience. When you're a small business comments like this can be detrimental to a small businesses image, small businesses tend to be over protective and make mistakes in cases like this. The guy has called you out in your first post and from what I can see is you have side tracked the statement as it is worded at small business in general."Holy hell. So your company has no professionally trained PR people? You just broke almost every rule in PR/customer service."
A lot of small business don't and it's not a crime. I can pick you apart your statements, but I think anyone with any sense knows that this is "if n and's" scenario, pretty low really.

I've not purchased this product but have purchased similar and used it on my 7+ JB, haven't noticed any scratches on the front or back of it. Granted I also have it in a case but it seems to have worked for me. Friends of mine who didn't use the wipe on liquid are already seeing scratches on the bottom edge where the case is open, mine is still perfect. This is the first phone I haven't used a screen protector on, just used the liquid I purchased off ebay. So to me there is something to this type of tech, though you just don't know how long it will really last. Kind of the point with anything.. unless you've tried it.. you just don't really know the effects.

It's the case.

I just don't understand how this liquid is claimed to not bond to the Apple logo. If the whole phone is metal, the logo is metal, what properties make the liquid avoid bonding to the logo? Or even to the glass? This does not make sense to me.

It's not just the case, the case doesn't cover the bottom of the phone or the front glass.

Take the case off, report back in a month how you get on.
[doublepost=1475685707][/doublepost]I believe that these anti-scratch and water resistant coatings from a range of suppliers have some effect. They are relatively new in the phone market and there hasn't been a lot of independent testing done yet.

I think their claims are being over sold though and eventually there will be some disappointed customers. But when was the last time you heard of a company being realistically downbeat about their product? You probably wouldn't buy it then.

I don't go without a case, screen protecting is one thing.. no case is another. I'll never go that far.

Understandable. Even with this liquid coating I would definitely use a case still, just not while indoors. I'll be more than happy to go caseless indoors, outside though, hell no. Concrete is something these famous youtubers don't use when they perform a drop test and if they did, people would think twice about going outside without a case.
