People are so starved - if Apple throws them a cracker, it will be best cracker they ever had ...

I expect the crowd to go out of their minds when they see a repackaged iPhone 6 with some minor updates.

As one (of I'm guessing, many) that is skipping the 7 in favor of more radical changes in the 8 (as long as my 6 battery can hold out), I can actually see this as an effective way to get the troops pumped about the 7. The spec bumps of the 7 + a potential glossy black option will be too much for some holds outs. Add in the ever so dangerous one-click option, and the 7 May sell better than we might have thought.

Maybe there will be 3 new phones this year, afterall; iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone Pro, with the Pro model being the all black color to match the Mac Pro.

Or just, uh you know... black.:D:p

Black and white, two colors that don't need qualifiers.
True... Just saying this goes with the space black rumors.

I would love a "blacked out" phone.

Gold is huge in Asian countries, for some reason.
Honestly most of the iPhones I see in public and gold. I live in Las Vegas thou lol

Agreed, except (Product) RED option would be nice. Red iPod Touch with white front panel looks gorgeous.
I would love a product red phone, but think it might look better with a black face.

We know this iPhone will be a minor updated 6s, so makes sense that there will be lots of minor things to pad out the keynote.. from new colours to whatever implementation of the twin camera thing.

The Mac Pro color looks weird. It's black and nice in the PR materials, but in real life it's so shiny so it's more like silver...or something...

That is the answer... if you can't afford a case, what are you doing buying an iPhone?
My point is that Apple should use suitable products. If you bought a car and within a few weeks the paint was all dulled and scratched, would you be happy? Or would you prefer the manufacturer to use a paint that could withstand being on a car?

Or maybe you'd just pay a few grand to have the car wrapped in vinyl to keep that paint looking good. Of course, that's the answer.

So we have reached the time when colour is all that it takes to get sales? Oh dear, I don't wanna live anymore :D :D :D

For those of us that have been waiting for a truly back iPhone for many years, yes. However, I will be upgrading from an iPhone 6 Plus so the new technology is also another reason to upgrade.

What, no Shamrock Edition?

Apple doesn't even have 1 official store here after 12 years of them being here (10 of which were very cushy), with that in mind they aren't going to go all shalaylee now.

Gloss black has been a trend for a couple years now in cars especially and it is the worst choice possible for anything that you intend to touch. Might as well call it smudge black. No thanks..

If true, I will be force to buy both color blacks at pre-order so I can decide which to keep! If true, Apple marketing is a genius at making buyers want the new iPhone even when the specs are pretty close to the current iPhone model other then the camera that is!

So I'll say this right now.

I'd get the black model EASILY. I hope this is not a rumor and turns out to be the real deal
