Apple knows that without a new form factor - they are going to struggle to generate sales on this newer model.

Therefore - a new color or model with a better camera will be present to try and boost them. This is why we always see "S" models get the new colors. It's a refresh to make something old look new.

And what if the internals make them leaps and bounds over the current models? What if this is basically the 'S' model???

Would that change your mind?

Think I'm gonna pass on the iPhone 7 and iPhone altogether. Hardly much of a design change from my iPhone 6 Plus and iOS 10 has been very disappointing. I was really hoping for a killer from Apple seeing as it's a new number iteration for the iPhone and their 10th iOS release.
Agreed. I'm going to have to perform some independent research but I am heavily considering moving to an Android device this year.

This is Probably the most leaks I've ever seen on any iPhone and we are not even into mid August yet. At This point in the junction, I definitely think what we are seeing is exactly what you will see in September.

Should be interesting, because the unknown of what this Smart connector may or may not incorporate, and what other features have not been identified/leaked that will be included in the iPhone 7.

Wanna have an iPhone Pro with a 5.5" 4:3 display, Pencil support, waterproof and Swift Playgrounds to completely replace my iPhone 6 Plus und iPad mini 2 ... because iOS 10 can't replace a real Mac for me, any bigger iPad is no option and on my iPhone the display is to narrow in width.

7 Plus with a Smart Connector that will allow me to add a battery pack without adding to the length of the device would be amazing.
Kind of puts me in mind of what the Moto Z offers. (The dots on the bottom of the back of the phone are connectors for battery packs, improved speakers, etc., all without adding to the length of the phone)

If I wasn't desperate for a new phone I'd be very annoyed — although come on guys, this isn't necessarily a real photo. However, my 2 or 3 year old 5s has a smashed screen and I'm so ready for a new iPhone.

Can't wait!

That makes too much sense. If they didn't want you to suffer from having a larger battery, they would have made the phone slightly thicker.

Makes perfect sense. This is sure something the new Apple© will do. Screw the customer, copy the "competition", seek the dollar, obey wall street. Its like the 90s again. I miss the time when the same iPhone was used by a mere mortal and Steve Jobs. Same hardware, same features, same price.

The only thing left that can still make me somehow want this phone at least a tiny bit is the rumored "dark space grey" (aka black) color option. That was the case with the 6/6S already: the darker its color is, the more bearable the phone looks.

Yeah hate the same style, I am going to omit if I stare 5 more mins at this new iphone. Why the h#ell apple still has much space on top and bottom of iphone. This makes phone bulky compared to SAmsung phones which has same screen size

Hey Apple, I have no interest in an unwieldy and humongous phone. Can I still get the best camera?

Thanks.
I think you might be on to something. I could conceive of a reality in which Apple positions the "standard" iPhone as equivalent to the new MacBook with a "pro" alternative that has more connectivity.
... and a bigger screen. So if you don't want a huge-ass phone you're basically screwed. Your choices are then as followed:

1: get the SE, which is already missing features from the 6S (and even the 6 before that) with the lack of 3D touch, photo-aligned display, better front facing camera, etc.
2: get the 7, non-Plus and non-Pro, and miss out on a better camera, bigger battery and the complete lack of an industry standard that won't be replaced in pretty much ever.

If you don't want people buying your shiny new phone, this is how you do it.

All I'm keeping my fingers crossed for is a 32gb base model (finally), and a headphone jack for my $15 headphones that work just fine thank you very much Apple.

I hope this is not serious. This is laughable at best. It's not like a Professional photographer is going to give up his/her full body DSLR for an iPhone Pro.(Not if said person wants be taken Seriously anyway)

I mean, are we going to be writing blogs on a Keyboard attachment? Rendering 4K video on Adobe Premiere iPhone CC? :p
