Not sure if it was caused by the 10.2 update but ive been getting somewhat faster drain on standby with out wifi, 10hrs of standby but lost about 5%, most of the time when I wake up I only lose 1-2% though I still see my usage is around 4.5 - 5hrs but the battery % drop is just dramatically faster.

You should check and see what's running in your background. I normally close all my apps, and turn off "Location Tracking" or what ever unless I'm using Google Maps or something.

I currently use an Apple Watch, so I normally only leave Bluetooth on unless I'm in wifi. I also normally leave my brightness at half way and disable Auto brightness.

Also if I were you, I would also close any excess safari tabs or any that you aren't currently using.

Other than that, that's how I get good battery on mine. Like I don't leave games running in the background if you aren't using them.

If you don't mind, could you show us your Battery usage? Most of my battery usage comes from YouTube lol.

Facebook is really a monster. I keep background refresh off and force close it when I'm not using. On my 6s it sometimes would show up to like 50% until I changed settings and started closing it. They really need to work on that battery hog app.

Now this isn't the setup everyone has but I've got almost every battery saving option on the whole time I'm using the phone. Not using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Keeping low power mode on from 100% battery. My 7+ was restored from my 6s which had terrible battery life, I'm thinking I don't need to try so hard to conserve anymore. This is pretty amazing.

I'm trying to understand how the low power cores factor into battery life of the 7/7+ because I don't find battery life to be that much better than the 6 and 6s series.

For me as a 7+ user. By turning off background refresh, location service, SIRI, sound notification and open facebook through Safari I can preserve my battery a lot. It last about 50% at 5:00 pm with medium use. Almost forgot that I doesnt play game @ all...

Mine is absolutely terrible. Earlier today my usage was 2hrs 17min, 5hrs 2min standby and I was at 33%

I contacted Apple support (no Genius Bar appointments near me until late Tuesday) they had me do some stuff. After a full charge I got. 55min usage. 3hrs standby at 67% battery.

I'm definitely not happy. I just did an erase all content and settings and restored from a backup. If this doesn't work I'll make an appointment, or reset to factory settings and set up as new... who knows.[/QUOTMine as well. Kept my 4g on watch few youtube and paly few games. And the battery drains ridiculuosly fast as normal. Went to apple shop and told me its normal. Wth

My new 7 plus is doing great with battery so far. Today was mostly light periodic usage, but it's been unplugged for over 21 hours and I've still got 74% charge remaining. Thumbs up!

Yo guys, sorry for bothering and probably silly question, but has anyone had any battery life problems with their iP7+ after the 11.1 update. After the OTA update on iOS 11.1.1 I had major issues and got like 5 hours top usage - screen on time. ( I am a fairly light user ). I did a DFU restore i got an improvement, but still the numbers are not quite on par with what i got on ios 10.3.3. I have a SE on 10.3.3 and the battery life is fantastic so I have the ability to compareIMG_0031.PNG IMG_0032.PNG what's going on. Here are my numbers. So do you think it is ok and I'm just freaking out?

how did this pan out?

Hello everyone,
I'm posting here to see if you can give your opinion about my situation. I'm using an iPhone 7, bought a few weeks after its launch, and since around October-November 2017 I'm seeing a quite undesirable battery behavior.
I charge the device to a 100%, and when waking up around 7-8 h later I see the battery has dropped to the 75-80% level.

Seeing this, I did several tests: making sure Background updates are off, localization services turned off(apps and system), no iCloud updates or backups, etc.

Went to a first appointment at an Apple Store, and after doing the battery analysis they saw this odd behavior of the battery being used. They told me to restore the iPhone to is factory settings (we did it there) and in the process it was updated to the latest iOS version (from 10.3.3 to the latest 11.x). After this, I restored my backup and used it the same way. Same results.

Went to an appointment again and the next conclusion was to restore again but keep using it as new, not restore anything. Did this, and this time I didn't download any single personal app, I just used the default apps. Didn't set anything, just the clean system as it comes for several days (I use the Mail with several work accounts and some other apps with media -Twitter, news sites, etc.- that could be causing this, so this time I didn't set them to not have them interfering). In the end, same results: the phone drops 25% of its capacity without doing nothing.

This is happening even with Low Power mode turned on, and even leaving the phone on Airplane Mode all night. The battery drops to the same ~75-80% level after 8h of standby and 0 minutes of usage. I get the battery at a 10% level after around 3h of usage time.

So... Is this normal? I have gone to the latest appointment now, and according to the guys at the Apple Store, they don't see anything wrong on the battery diagnostics, and the only thing they can offer me is to pay the now 29€ to replace it, without any warranty that this may solve the problem.

I'm pretty sure this can still fall under the 2-year consumer warranty (EU- Spain) but they are not being collaborative at all. Today they have dismissed all the test they told me to do and all the screenshots they told me to take (so that they could have more "proof" next time to do something about it).
