Was just about to post the same thing. I'm using the black battery case with my matte black 7 and I love it. It's still pretty thin and the weight makes it feel premium. Like a luxurious brick lol.

I like to say it gives it character. Lol

Love not having to worry about battery life and I slip the phone out of case after it drains. Best of both worlds.

Here is mine. It went down to 22% after another hour and a half standby, and maybe 5-10 more minutes usage.

What did the Genius Bar tell you? I have an appointment tomorrow...

They asked if i had restored it and set up as new, which i said i did because i had already called apple care.
Then they said we will try restore it from iTunes, i said thats how i restored it in the first place, but they did it anyway and said if it doesn't change then they will swap it over. knew it would be the case so already set up a few genius bar appointments haha.

Setting up my phone 3 times so far is enough...

Wifi off. 50% Brightness. Waze seems to drain a decent amount. This is my realistic daily usage. I could squeeze out more if I babied the battery.

My battery has been crazy good! I can't give exact stats because my phone respringed a couple times from bugs today but it's been off charger and heavily used since 4:45 this morning and I'm at 22%.

7hrs50mins of usage, 14hr16min standby and 5% left. I'd say that's really good, especially coming from a 6.

Mines been awesome!

Battery life was seriously impressive the first full charge but it seems to have gone down dramatically. I ended up switching my sim back to my S7E as I don't have a screen protector on the iPhone yet. I left the iPhone with 100% and came back 4 hours later and it was down to 90%. This is with WiFi enabled and no sim inserted, fairly pathetic if you ask me.

Will see how it does in the coming days but so far it doesn't look great, maybe my expectations were too high.

My phone has been super hot since I got it and it hasn't been able to charge properly or keep battery life. I had it charging all day (did not use it while it was charging) and at the end of the work day, it was only 63% charged. I had also turned off all apps. Something is not right. I am going to restore it to original settings and try to restore from backup again.

Those that are having issues, are you on 10.0.0.1 (or is it 10.0.1 -- i would check but my battery died and its too hot to hold ;) )? The first thing it had me do was ask me if I wanted to upgrade the OS, so I said yes. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

Hello all.
I got my iPhone 7 Plus on Friday. I love it, huge upgrade from my 6.
Anyway, I was curious to see the battery life of other iPhone 7 Plus users. I know it's only been two full days, but looking to get some input on this. Currently I'm at 23% and have 5hr43min of usage with 11hr7min of standby. I've been doing a lot of different stuff with it, including shooting a minute or so of 4K video to test it out, and using it for a short period of time (couple minutes or so) at full brightness while taking pictures outdoors.
On average, is this about normal for a Plus? This is my first Plus model so I'm just wondering. Coming from an iTunes backup of my 6 which did not do too well in battery, was always low by the end of day, would this affect battery at all? Or is it nothing to be concerned about? Appreciate any input, also post what your 7 Plus battery is like.

Your iphone's battery is still new, give the battery little time like 14 times full charge to 90% discharge. Battery should hold more charge gradually.

Try to setup the iPhone as a new iphone without any backup. So connect it to iTunes and perform a restore, once shown in itunes after restore disconnect it from computer and set it up as a new iphone.

I think I'm going to try the network reset first, then try to reset it and restore from backup and then if that doesn't work, try it with restore as new. I'd prefer not to have to reset everything up but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

So far mine looks great. Do note that I normally don't have % turned on, but only for this purpose I have the % turned on. Otherwise it's usually off. Also this is the Verizon model 7 Plus 128 GB. I am planning on switching to Verizon sometime this week.

Yesterday I had 15hrs of standby and 11hrs of moderate usage. I set my phone up as new, and although not proven, I feel like that makes a difference.

Unplugged at 6:30am came home around 11:30PM with 11 hrs of usage and 19% battery. Mostly Reddit, reeder, pokeGO, iMessage and Bluetooth audio on and off throughout the day. Practically double the usage of my 6S on average.

Does keeping the battery percentage meter turned off help in someway increase battery life or you just prefer that way?

Why are you using your iphone moderately, is it not worth playing with or below your expectations? Which iphone you got, did you got the one you wanted?

Mine was worse today. 2hrs 20min usage, 9hrs 56min standby. 22% battery.

I have all background update stuff off. Apple ran 2 diagnostic tests, yesterday and today, and they both said my iPhone is fine... hahaha.

I have a Genius Bar appointment tomorrow. Hopefully they'll swap my phone out.

Turning off background stuff will give you worse "usage" time.

Mine is absolutely terrible. Earlier today my usage was 2hrs 17min, 5hrs 2min standby and I was at 33%

I contacted Apple support (no Genius Bar appointments near me until late Tuesday) they had me do some stuff. After a full charge I got. 55min usage. 3hrs standby at 67% battery.

I'm definitely not happy. I just did an erase all content and settings and restored from a backup. If this doesn't work I'll make an appointment, or reset to factory settings and set up as new... who knows.
Since you have restored already, try another restore and don't use a backup. Set up as new and only download vital apps in your daily life and don't use anything iCloud.

It's too early to fairly evaluate.

One option is to remember that battery life isn't important to Apple. Building very thin iPhones is. Rather than focus on run time, accept it's not an Apple priority and let it go.

I've restored a few time now. Last night I set up as new. It doesn't appear that is working either. I still dropped like 5-10% in an hour. With very little use.

I don't use the iCloud stuff much. Just for mail, contacts and notes. That's all. No backups or anything like that. I have like 3-4 apps downloaded and I'll see how it goes today.
