At first, I was surprised by the autonomy of this Iphone 7 plus.
Friday evening however, the battery drained insanely fast after I paired my new Apple Watch (series 2).
Yesterday, the draining continued all day long (although indexing etc. was done Friday). I've been trying to repair the Watch, but it didn't help. Another strange fact: the iPhone was charging extremely slowly.
In the end, I've reinstalled both devices and then did a new repair. At the moment, battery levels are normal as the iPhone still has 70% since I've fully charged it yesterday by 5PM.

Yesterday i've put the phone to charge before going to sleep. It had 9% left.
Today when i woke up (after 8h) battery was on 69%. This never happned to me on previous iphones.

It's charging now again and it's almost at 100%, it surpassed the 69% mark with no issues.

Have you heard of something like this?

My phone has been super hot since I got it and it hasn't been able to charge properly or keep battery life. I had it charging all day (did not use it while it was charging) and at the end of the work day, it was only 63% charged. I had also turned off all apps. Something is not right. I am going to restore it to original settings and try to restore from backup again.

Those that are having issues, are you on 10.0.0.1 (or is it 10.0.1 -- i would check but my battery died and its too hot to hold ;) )? The first thing it had me do was ask me if I wanted to upgrade the OS, so I said yes. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

It happed the same to me last night. I am on 10.0.2.
My phone it's not warm thow.

coming from the 6s Plus, I did not expect much better, but my battery health on my 6s Plus was apparently 82%

That's why I wish my iPhone 6s had removable battery. It is like seeing someone dieing a slow death. Something that comes with expiry date.

I thought I was getting good battery life, but now I'm not so sure.

I was upto 45hrs standby yesterday, with 8.5hrs usage, and 19% left which is great IMO. However, I've noticed that the usage seems to be increasing even whilst in sleep mode. Did some tests today, and usage seems to be increasing by as much as 20 mins per hour whilst the iPhone is sleeping. I seem to be dropping 1-2% per hour in sleep mode.

Also, when looking at the app usage times (not percent) for the last 24hrs, they don't show anywhere near as much usage as the total usage counter.

Not ready to start do fresh installs yet, but I'll be monitoring it over the next few days to see what happens.

Stand by time is horrible in mine as well. 4 times worse than my old 6s plus

I consider my standby-time to be very good. My concern is, even though my usage time looks good......it's possible that a large portion of it was built-up when I wasn't even using the phone making it look a lot better than it actually is.

I performed a hard reset (power button and volume down), and now usage time is only increasing by about 4 minutes per hour whilst the device is sleeping.

Still seems ever so slightly high, but it's a good bit lower than it was.

Battery decreases by the minute. :/

I've been trying to hammer this all day after getting it yesterday. About 2.5 hours of video and games, the rest is hard web surfing and news apps and games through iMessage. I've been on it a lot today.

Overall pleased, though I'm not a heavy user on the weekend. I have charged it 3 times since I got it, Tuesday (the 20th). I keep my phone on low power mode in the night, and overall use it mostly for web browsing, reading books, music, Email, texting and hearthstone (game). I don't ever watch videos, so that's probably good for my battery life (though games can be quite a drainer).

Mine has improved. Still not what my 6S was .

I'm currently around 4 hours usage Facebook/Safari (both heavy drainers)
12hrs standby and I'm at 60% battery.

Last week I was losing around 5-10% per hour. No matter what I was doing. Using or not, airplane mode or not, I was losing battery. I installed the 10.1 beta and its been getting better ever since.

I'm slowly turning back on all the settings I've turned off, we'll see what happens.

I've only had my 7+ since friday, and some time after i have charged i've taped the home button to open, and my screen freeze's. After it does i see no usage or standby.
A few week's before getting the 7+ i did an update to 10.0.1 on my 6s+. I started noticing the battery draining a lot quicker?
Since i've had the 7+ it seem's it's draining faster also, and i did do the update to 10.0.2? I've turned off Notifications for FaceBook, and mail hoping that might help, but that should have never been a problem. I just reset the network?
I guess it my have something to do with a bug in the software, since the 6s+ battery life was great until 10.0.1

You guys have very good battery life. Mine is just meh. I just browse and read some books on my iphone 7 plus. This is already the 5th day. I'm gonna return this and replace it with a new one.

What do you guys think about this? I am on a 7plus moving up from a 6s. I feel like I should be getting more?

I just picked up my jet black 7+ , its noticeablely not as good as my 6s + was, it went from 75 to 25 in just a few hours of useage... also seems to get very hot. I hope they send a software update to correct this issue

Went from a 6s to the 7, and I've been getting very bad battery life. I first thought it'd be something with cellular connectivity, as at many times I see two or three dots, but I've never had battery problems with the 6s with the same cellular connectivity. Also set up my iPhone as new. But I'm going to try that again, see if that fixes it.

Anyway, I think it's really bad. I mean, I'm totally fine with an iPhone that can last just a full day and nothing less or more. But now it barely lasts a day with low to medium usage. I would rather go to the Apple Store to swap it for a new one if possible, but the problem is that the closest one is still two hours away with public transit (got no drivers license yet). I picked up my iPhone 7 at an Apple Store, and I hated the long travel distance already. So not feeling anything for going to The Hague (which is where I picked up my phone) again. Especially these days, since I'm not even sure if there's any stock left to swap.

Worst case scenario: I'm buying a Smart Battery Case. Bought it for my iPhone 6s too, right before iOS 10 beta came out. And that clearly was the right decision, since my iPhone 6s' battery life is just as bad since then. Battery case helped me getting through the day without an issue. And I'd have no problems whatsoever to get a new case, but I just think it's pretty bad that my iPhone 7 should have improved battery life instead of it getting worse...

I've noticed the same issue, after I paired it with my new Watch Series 2.
Reinstalling both devices (and re-pairing) helped me out, as battery levels are quite good now!

Reinstalling your device might help indeed.
It helped me out and I was having the same issue last weekend.

Can you explain reinstalling device? What do i need to do? Because like I'll use the device for 7 minutes and the percent decreases by like 3-4
