You don't think this wrong someone paid such amount and gifted someone, how other person will feel using colorised phone. Fine no problem I still believe legal system I didn't done anything wrong why should I worry about.

If lot of people are reporting this issue then whose fault is this, I'm also big fan of Apple, I used iphone 3G till now but once the trust is broken then it very hard to build up

I think strength comes in numbers. When you looked at the iPhone 6 bending issue, Apple didn't do anything about it until many complaints surfaced. The best hope you have is to count on it happening to several others.

I am not saying I do not think it is wrong.

I AM saying that you have few, if any, options.

If you just go and talk to a lawyer, he will help you understand. Bring money.

I have purchased iphone 7 red color a month ago and from day first its in transparent cover now from charging side color coming off. When I talk to apple care they said no you did intentionally and deny the support. Really its shock for me I'm using iphone from 3G and they are supporting like this and
I gifted the hand set to my fiance. Now I'm think to file case in consumer forum. What you guys suggested.

That's tragic. I was thinking of buying the (red) instead of waiting for the '8' to appear. I'll wait it out...

defective paint job or anodizing. Don't let them blow you off, it's a manufacturing defect.

Agreed. In situations like these, Apple will likely want pictures for documentation and perhaps they even might send the OP a replacement phone, so they can have his phone in return for their engineers to assess the possible defect. Being it's only a month old and it very well could be a problem with the anodization.

Apple want to stick with their policy they don't bother to listen anything. Then What I suppose to do I message them on Twitter they told me talk with senior adviser & he don't to listen to me only saying one thing policy thing, cosmetics damage don't cover in our policy

If it were me, and I truly believe my phone had a defect, I would either make a genius appointment with an Apple store if you have one near you to allow the Phone to be looked again person, or escalate it to someone that can further look into the issue of the phone. Cosmetic damage is not covered, correct. But in your case, Apple might need to physically inspect your device before they can make any further decisions. If they can determine it might be a defect with the anodization, then perhaps they might be able to assist you further.

I’ve always found they are more willing to assist in an Apple store face to face. Otherwise you get the call centre robots who can only really toe the company line.

Bro understand the gravity of situation here I gifted the phone on my engagement to my fiancé and i purchased the handset 25 days ago in different country where I work and she hardly use the phone I'm just saying two months because of bill purchase and she call and also went to apple but still nothing. There was not a single reason I created the thread just for the support that's I'm also a hard core fan but when I feel company not worry about customer loyalty then I open thread.

Bro, it’s pretty simple. If you don’t like it, Go android and take your money elsewhere. That’s the magic of capitalism. It clearly states in their terms of warranty that cosmetic damage is not covered and they have never covered it. In a court of law, you’d be laughed at. That’s why terms of use and warranty exist.

They cover defects that affect the function of the phone. Not anodizing coming off the aluminum. With my knowledge of how anodizing works, it does not flake off because It’s not paint. It’s not an issue with the “curing” process. It’s a patina added to the metal. If there was a flawed process in manufacturing, whole lots of product would be ruined and everyone would be complaining about the colour coming off.

So take it to an Apple store or move on.

I already went to the Apple Store they said no and something called quality control they have to put in place for this anodizing because it's happening customer don't have a time to waste on these thing, if this happened previously with matte black colour then they have review their policy. Otherwise it's better to buy Samsung at least they can recall the device and acknowledge the problem and here in Apple Store they said we can take your feedback seriously you making a fool or if this already happened then they have accept the problem and give the solution but instead of solving problem they are talking about useless policy.

I doubt Samsung would give you the time of day if the same happened to one of their phones.

You're kidding, right? The Galaxy Note was a hazard. Millions of them were affected, with the potential of causing catastrophic damage and loss of life.

Are you seriously comparing a finish that flaked off of your phone to a phone that caught fire in homes, pockets, and on aircraft?

There have been sporadic reports of an iPhone battery here and there. That's it. Again, you're trying to manipulate the situation to make Apple look like the devil for not replacing your scratched phone, and Samsung look like an angel for recalling millions of phones that could potentially kill hundreds of people. It doesn't play. Samsung had no choice. The FAA blocked their phones on flights, carriers stopped selling them, etc.

Your red iPhone with a small chip on the bottom doesn't even remotely come close to what you're trying to make it out to be.

You jumping to the results and i'm not getting anything to manipulate the results and I'm just reporting the issue. What I said, that my phone catch fire or gone boom. I'm talking about service if there is problem so acknowledge and accept. Wrong is wrong, don't get ballistic if your apple fan then I'm using iphone from 3G and you are not apple representative here so don't get personal feelings to cloud your judgement if someone reporting something so see it first.

You're out of control man. Seriously. Go for a walk or something. I don't care when you started using the iPhone, as it has nothing to do with your argument. Apple told you they don't cover cosmetic defects and that is it.

If there were thousands of complaints for this, maybe they would change their stance. But you complaining here on the internet isn't going to make it happen.

My personal feelings are irrelevant here. My personal feelings are that you're crying over nothing and you should just suck it up. Sell it and go android, or buy another iPhone. There are plenty of choices out there. No one is forcing you to stay. Those are my personal feelings, which I didn't feel the need to put out there until you asked.

Why did they replace the S7?

Due do sweating or something else the particular section losing the colour and colour of body getting fade. I mail the Samsung, they asked me to visit the store to check if there is any type of physical damage or any scratch. It took 2 weeks and i got new phone.

I don't need your advice.

Yes i'm complaining here to acknowledge the issue if get solved or not. This what people do on the internet to share the experience.

I didn't ask or anyone ask you to write irrelevant things here until you have a solution. But you seems to be crying & shouting here that's the reason people call apple user Apple fanboy.

Have you considered emailing Tim Cook with pictures and a receipt and/or going back to the the store where you purchased (if it was an Apple Store?) I do not have Cook's email, but any time I emailed him with an issue, someone got back to me and made things right.

If you do either of these, be polite yet firm and give the facts.

Good points. That's what I would do in this situation if it couldn't be resolved. Sometimes store level management or a senior advisor may not go to the lengths that they could perhaps. Which is why someone could escalate it to where the case is looked at more closely.
