You don't say, really? I know that, but anything more than three questions is a big problem. Choosing the type of haptic feedback on setup is unnecessary. Users can change this in settings. Why on earth do users need to choose their haptic feedback, is there not a default that suits most users?
Boo boo - my heart bleeds that you have such a busy schedule you cannot manage a 60 second setup. Life must be tough. People like choice, but I guess in your world picking between an iPad mini/Air 2 or Pro or different iPhone would also make you feel this way. "Let's just have a default size for all!" People like different things from everyone else. Some may feel feedback more than others, some like Siri on, some off. We are not in Cold War Germany.

Absolutely not true at all. Some journalists at the event complained about not liking the new home button but changed their opinion once they had the phone and were able to adjust the settings. I'd rather get that out of the way upfront than have to go digging for it in settings.
And a few writers said they found the buzz annoying no matter what the setting. They stopped short of condemning it...afraid to offend Apple.

Looks like that button sucks... I don't want a Haptic experience. Blah...

There are too many set up screens....

There are literally like 4 steps to get to "Restore from backup" in the iPhone which is what most people do. You realize that if it didn't ask all those questions, it would create more work for the tech people like us and ultimately AppleCare if they didn't ask all those questions. The number one reason would be "I didn't know I had to sign in to my Apple ID for Find My iPhone! Why can't you just track my phone!!!!???"

I cannot believe that they put in a traditional USB cable/charger combination in the box! A lost opportunity to switch to USB-C.

I was talking about the home button taptic setup.

MKBHD is far from the first person to reveal this...
Doesn't change that he's the best.

I disagree.

The removal of the home button may be confusing at first, so the selection of the haptic feedaback to everyone's taste is a very important step that otherwise could remain buried in the settings. Probably, Apple will learn from people choices and remove the splash page in the next iPhone.
Yup. Everyone who is complaining and doesn't understand something this simple is just acting like a child not using their head to an embarrassing extent.

And options are good, period.

Would've been nice if apple explained what 'choose-your-click' meant! I just spent 20 mins with my new iPhone selecting 1, 2, and 3 and clicking and having no idea what I was meant to be doing. Looked it up and it was the click 'intensity'.

Thanks for telling me that Apple!

That wasn't hard to figure in my experience... couldn't you feel the difference?

You only feel a difference when you know what you were meant to be looking out for in the first place. So if it said 'Haptic Feedback Intensity' or 'Click Intensity', then I would have known what I was doing.
