Anyone upgrading or getting a new contract with Vodafone? I ordered mine (upgrade) on friday morning at 9 AM but I still did not get any email about the shipment.

I ordered with vodafone at 8:50am the jet black plus - the guy said Vodafone was guaranteeing that every order on pre order would be delivered on launch day...... which I doubt very much. I got a email and text confirming the order with a tracking number but still says approved.
This happened to me last year, I did get the phone on launch day however they forgot to charge me for it haha!

the guy told me the same, but when i ordered the iphone6 2 years ago i got it on the launch day, after receiving an email with the delivery number.

P.s. Vodafone gives you 15% of discount if your company is enrolled in their advantage plan

Yep got the same, ordered last Friday at 10am. On the tracking app it only says confirmed too. Basically the tracking app is a clunky mess. I called them up and they said I should receive it via DPD on Friday

Thats good news, they did say Friday for me. I know from previous years that not much changes on Vodafone tracker undtil the night before. Still not hopeful though that I'll get on launch date through what I'm seeing on here about stock of the jet black plus. But I am keeping my fingers crossed. Which phone did you order?

I went for the matte black 7+ 128gb. Jet black is lower stock you are right. But the fact remains that last friday, I even spoke to them at 2pm and they were still promising launch day delivery for Jet black or matte black 7+, stating they still had a fair few to go, whereas carriers such as o2 were by far already out of first round stock on these by the afternoon

If you were to order today then Vodafone quote a 1 week delivery for the matte 7+ and a 5 week delivery for the Jet Black 7+

Exactly the same here.

Ordered at around 7:50 am (VF's site went live a bit early!), tracker still says Accepted. Called them today and the guy said that I should get a text tomorrow with a tracking number and the phone will be delivered Friday by DPD.

I think their online system is a mess. I got an email from them confirming my "SIM Swap" just after the upgrade email, and absolutely nothing on My Vodafone is working - all of my tariff information, etc, just has an error displayed.

Edit: Mine's a Jet Black 7+ 128GB. Interestingly, the prices seem to have gone up since launch day. Mine was £90 up front then £63 a month for 20GB with the Spotify pass. Same bundle now is £68 a month.

I did a 12 month so it was more expensive - I paid 370 for the phone with a £58 per months for unlimited and 2gb of data. Expensive but hopefully worth it

Same. £370 up front 12 month 20GB plan for £73. Will apply my employer advantage scheme so it goes down to 63

Ah!! I completely forgot about that! My company is contracted with Vodafone, just checked and we get 20% off of pay monthly tariffs above £20!

Missed it on my current sim only deal as I forgot to do it within 30 days :(. When I get my phone on Friday I'll go down the local VF store with my ID card.

Massive kudos - you just saved me over £300!

The online page says 15%, the print off from our intranet says 20%, so I can show them that in store

Has anyone had a delivery text yet?

Edit: just did the math, after taking off spotify (which I currently pay for as I picked Netflix on my sim only deal), and VF advantage, it works out at £10.50 a month more than buying the phone direct from apple - £10.50 a month for 20GB of data ain't bad these days.

Just a heads up for you Vodafone guys, I've been with Vodafone for 7+ years and you will not see your tracking on the Vodafone website update - so don't hold your breath for it.
Even after delivery, it will still show accepted, believe me.

You also won't get a text from DPD until the morning of delivery (if it is being delivred to you for launch tomorrow).
Expect the text from 8am onwards, sometimes earlier.
In my experience, you won't get one today - so don't lost hope and just look out for it in the morning.

I've moved to EE this time as Vodafone are the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with, but thought I'd post to help keep some minds at rest!

Enjoy and good luck!

I switched from Three to Vodafone, Vodafone are godly compared to Three!

Don't get me wrong, their network was great, but their CS are the most incompetent people I've ever dealt with. Since I switched to Vodafone I've not really had any problems.

Yeah I mean as a network it's fine. Good coverage, great 4G, contracts are always competitive and they do company discounts for certain businesses.

But I don't have enough hours in the day to type the problems I've had with them since being a consumer.

I also have a part time carphonewarehouse job on a saturday, and the amount of people who have a hatred for Vodafone (customers who come in) is unbelievable.
They without doubt have the worst reputation out of any of the service providers by a long way, and I can only agree.

Shame really. If they actually had UK customer services, and they were good customer services, they'd be alright.

TBH I think the networks are all as bad as each other. Back when I had a PT job in an Apple Store (years ago, I'm talking iPhone 4 times here) the worst was always orange. They actually sold someone an iPhone that wouldn't turn on out of the box then sent them to us to get a refurb replacement 'because apple wont let us exchange iphones'. Imagine the look on their face when someone in an apple t-shirt took the customer back across the shopping centre to tell orange that they had apples full permission to replace the phone!

Your work intranet page is out of date, it's been dropped to 15% and it happened recently.

I've been with Vodafone for 10+ years and I have had the opposite experience. Two years ago they emailed me at 16:30 on the day before launch telling me my phone had been dispatched. By 19:00 DPD had given me an hour delivery slot and the online tracker had updated.

Ah well it's worth a try - it's a 5 minute walk to the town centre so I may as well try to get them to honour it! The offers on our intranet page are completely different to the website.

Still haven't heard a peep from Vodafone today, I'll leave it 'till around 3 then give them a courtesy call.

Edit: I don't know if it's a different scheme we have (or if it is indeed outdated), but the offers on our page don't reflect the Vodafone advantage webpage at all. Vodafone website is 15% off handset contracts, 30% off sim only. Our page is:

20% off pay monthly tariffs (handset or sim only) above £20/mo
10% off pay monthly tariffs (handset or sim only) below £20/mo
15% off all ipad and tablet plans above £22/mo

I can't remember what happen last year but pretty sure the tracker didn't update as mentioned above and got a text on the day letting me know about delivery and I'm sure DPD have always impressed me when I've used them.... fingers crossed for a texted and a 2 hour delivery window tomorrow.
Vodafone have always been good to me in terms of getting the phone to me on release day. I don't have much interaction with them other then that. And they did let me know it's moved fron 20% to 15% so that would be right.. but you get 30% off sim only deals now with them.

Yes, that's exactly what the deal used to be until recently.

All I'll say is good luck, because the store won't be able to give you anything extra, not even a free pen.

Just spoken to Vodafone, the lady said that my order was showing as "pre order" so she didn't think I would get it tomorrow. Can you let me know what they say if you call up guys?
The guy on launch day deffo said that all orders on pre order day would be received on launch day... but maybe it's because of the model I've ordered
