Well out of the two of us I'd guess you'll be the one that is happy about the thickness. For me the 6 got too thin to comfortably hold without a case, the slightly thicker 6S seems better from trying it out in the store, but I think it still needs to be a bit thicker so I can go back to using my phone caseless.

It has been harder to use, but I've managed caseless. I actually want it thicker just for a bigger battery.

Yeah, it think I could use it caseless if I really wanted to, but with how thin it is I'd be constantly worried about dropping it and getting a shattered screen. A bigger battery would be another reason I'd like it thicker too.

I am honestly fine with most functions that are available on iOS - at least in a smartphone, but I cant stand how ugly the iPhone is, so for me the list would be:

- less bezels with screen to bezel ratio that is bigger than 75%
- the above should allow them to make the 5" iphone that is as big as the current 6s
- no ugly bands
- no sticking out camera

"Borrow" hTc's One M7 design even the BoomSound.

Eliminate PLUS and go with a 5.2" iPhone.
If Apple has to stick with 1080P to INCREASE battery life.
USB-C. I only care because others will use it.

I'm watching MNF I'll get back to this.

Here's what I do know..

Home button isn't going anywhere. TouchID is part of it and without it, no more TouchID. OLED screen I would love to see but I don't think you will with 3D Touch entering the scene. Read somewhere it needs the LCD to work properly? Could be way wrong. Smaller bezel could be possible. The design/back will change. Maybe a more sharp edge design.

Yes. Completely agree with the camera. The bands and the screen.

Sadly, the protruding camera is here to stay. I can guarantee with 100% certainty it will not disappear. Cameras can't get thinner without sacrificing quality. Its a limitation of physics. Unless Apple makes the phone significantly thicker, which is very unapple-like.

I mean, it's Apple. I'm sure they will find a way to fix it.

If they can break physics that would be amazing. Its already a miracle that we can capture photos with the tiny sensors we have. The amount of light that reaches it is imperceptible. I would welcome it, but definitely won't expect it.

They invented a revolutionary computer, so you never know

They are the company that took room sized computers and put them in a box, but they don't make their own sensors. They buy them from Sony. I doubt there will be a revolution in optics technology in the matter of a year. Then again, "Think different"

Exactly that's what Apple is about lol

No more home button. Top to bottom screen.
If True... I do think there's a good likelihood.

I've read this here and there, from approx six sources in two weeks. My biggest point of discontent (mechanical button) will be gone.

The funny part is I had no idea how bad, how slow, how cumbersome having to use the home button was till my first Android that had a touch sensitive button just below the screen.

It's the same as the display, fast, accurate, and logical. Apple can really be stubborn and slow to join the modern era. This is years overdue.

They do have legacy to maintain and lots of customer who dislike change, so its only a slight possibility they would abandon physical buttons. I agree though I love android touch buttons.

I most certainly do _not_ disagree. You hit the nail on the head. There's several reasons they cling to the analog button.

Despite being a liberal company in a liberal state which impacts how the interact with the government and get favorable legal consideration, they are at heart very conservative with their manufacturing and design processes.

The look of an iPhone with that big button makes the phone what it is style wise. I've thought many times that's why they can't or won't give it up.

Here are my thoughts...

No home button, or at least reduced bezels.

Over 2 gHz CPU

AMOLED display

Those are the big things I'm looking for :) either way I'll get it :D

IPS LCD is enough in my opinion, CPU is always improving hence why not more than 10GHz??;) They will not remove the home button since that's one of their signature style.

I expect T-Mobiles Jump! to be a mess. People who preordered at midnight will receive their devices AFTER people who ordered the next day. I expect people to get 2 day shipping even though T-Mobile told them it would be next day. I also would expect servers and web sites to crash and burn.

If they get rid of the Plus I'll go back to Android.
