Yeah, yeah, I want OIS!!! But I don‘t want a rattle! Guess what? My iPhone has OIS and NO rattle at all.

Yes they do, it’s the camera modules, you want ois? Means there has to be a bit of moving parts
Well mine doesn't rattle at all on my 8 Plus. I don't hear anything when I shake my phone (I don't intentionally do this but had to test it). Therefore not All of them do this.

Not when shaking the phone, but if you tap on the glass in the bottom and work your way up to the top you can hear the difference very clearly

my 8 plus is absolutely flawless but since there are reports of the screen literally coming unglued, i wouldn't be surprised if there is slack in a lot of phones.

Lithium ion batteries always have a small percentage of failure, the nature of the battery. Really not too worried

My first 8+ didn’t have the click. My second one does. It’s so light and outside the realm of normal use causing it I’m not sweating it.

Swapped mine tonight. No more click and a more uniform display. I'm happy.

got my 8plus yestarday, the screen clics around the front camera. Can someone confirm that with charging ( heat phase) the "click" is going away ?

Mines still there, don’t really notice it anymore. Never clicks during normal usage, just when I look for it lol

Just sharing...
The camera ‘rattle’ has been there since at least the 5 and is, as far as I know, part of the camera element and normal. I am guessing people may be hearing this on non-Plus versions.

The screen click (thread title) is different. I didn’t have it on my 1st 8 Plus but it is there on my 2nd.

Basically,
If you hold the phone with 2 thumbs on the area to the sides of/slightly below the ear mic and press slightly you will possibly hear a quick and high-pitched POP. If you press again immediately you likely do not hear it. It is like something is slightly out and takes a while to come out again once popped in.

It is VERY slight and not an issue IMO. I cannot think of a use-case where this would happen as pressing against your head/ear is not enough localized force from what I can tell.

WTS, I do wonder if this issue, with a speaker being right there.. is related to the speaker clipping/pop I get in-apps. Maybe I should test before/after creating the POP.. to see if related..

hi guys, anyone else have a noticeable clicking sound on the top part on the screen? Like right at the top on the bezel. If I push it down firmly and hold it, it will stop clicking for a few minutes but then it comes back

I just took it out of the box today, is maybe something still settling or should I be taking this in?

Thanks
[doublepost=1506552968][/doublepost]Also point out that you can feel the click under your finger when it happens
[doublepost=1506553541][/doublepost]I noticed this was a big issue on the iPhone 7, was this ever resolved? Would this affect the phones water proofing?

I have a 6s plus as well that makes zero noise when pushing anywhere on the screen

I had this issue on my 7 plus, I took it to the Apple Store and they repaired it under warranty.

any luck of DIY fix ?

P.S. is this happeing only on spay grey models or?

Personally got two space gray 8pluses 256 gb and it’s happening on both of them. Wondering is the screen eventually gonna separate enterally from the body of the phone?

Yup, seems to be the normal location for these phones. I don’t even bother anymore, if I stumble into an Apple store I may ask them one day. But it has zero effect on the phone usage.

I don’t get it. You have to press firmly to hear the tiny pop. How is this anything that souls ever be done normally. Mind has it if I firmly press near the top...but why would I do that. The phone is not separating. There are no gaps.

Stumbled across it by accident, just the way I was holding the phone when cleaning the camera lens

Once you notice it, it’s hard to not notice it lol
