Please no more slippery aluminum!
Also, the camera is not aligned to the corner radius and is making me uncomfortable.

Hmmm, personally I'm guessing the "hole" in the back is designed for a wireless charging spot, but if it's instead for a relocated Touch ID I actually don't think it's a bad idea for it considering ergonomically your index/pointer finger is positioned roughly near there anyway, so it wouldn't be as annoying as one my think at first.

In either case, I think the major takeaway here is that the front of the phone is going full display with minimal, if any, bezel, and that IMHO should be the most exciting news about this upcoming new iPhone! :)

You always hold your phone exactly the same way when you use it? Never once left it sitting on a desk or a table while you unlocked to see a message?

A rear-facing fingerprint sensor is a garbage design solution, and the fact that people are on here defending it is ridiculous fanboyism -- especially considering how routinely crapped-upon the idea has been for other handset manufacturers on here and elsewhere .

Don' t jump to conclusions yet. This is just a 3d render based on 2 leaks of the same schematics of the evt.
What still strikes me as odd that in the screenshot leak of the evt , dimensions are compared to a 7 plus. I don' t get that at all, why?
But we just don' t know it yet, if there are more leaks in the next month , we' ll know. Could be a next iphone se for next year, if i look at the design. I , for one hope, they' ll keep the rounded design and add a round corner glass back, and rounded glass front.
Had the s8 in my hand in all black, loved the feel and design, hated the os and placement of the fingerprint reader, though..

I wonder, sometimes, how Apple could be so stupid as to think a rear-body fingerprint scanner is a good idea.

Then I remember this is the same company that designed the original iMac mouse.
These are rumors Apple never confirmed. People are over reacting over rumors. People should wait for the real product to be revealed then they can judge.

Well so far the S8 design is the lead. Looks like all phones will are moving towards fingerprint sensors in the back and as a person who already deals with this on my Nexus 6p it's annoying, especially since I have it on a flat surface the majority of the day. I actually already use the passcode unlock as my most common form of unlocking. At least the S8 has retina unlock which might ease up having to use pass code unlock all the time (iphone 8 could as well).

I think I'll be waiting for the iPhone 8 and Pixel 2 announcements before thinking of actually pulling the trigger on a new smartphone but seems like these are the 3 to bet on as the best of 2017. If iphone 8 comes out with fingerprint scanning on the front and a real overhaul ios or at least some nice improvements (mostly in customization) I'll be back on the iphone train.

And there's that fingerprint sensor hole on the back.

Well, the bright side is it's away from the camera unlike the "time to smudge the camera lens" S8. As for people complaining about the possible new Touch ID location, it's possible in a few years people may see Touch ID in the same way we see a passcode today, as a little archaic compared to the facial recognition they've become accustomed to. FaceID FTW.

it's only a temp solution until the tech to have it under the display is ready.

Back touch id wouldn't be a bad idea if they implement some other functionality on it like scrolling or calling notification center. The rest of the phone is beautiful but no so much fresh... And those square edges with that size... we will see but seems not very confortable on hand.
