What specs do you think iphone air 2 have ? my contract expires in Dec 3, 2026 so I'm wondering if I should stick with samsung s27 early next year or anticipate better iphone air 2 spec bump ? currently using a pixel 9 pro 128gb

It will likely have the 2nm A20 Pro. 2nm would have better efficiency and battery life along with the rumored larger capacity battery.
Vapor chamber is rumored which might increase charging speeds.
C2 modem will probably have better service and maybe even cause slightly better battery life.
When it comes to dual speakers and dual cameras, maybe not. No one knows yet.

Personally, the iPhone Air is good enough for me and I don't need these upgrades. Sticking with my Air 1 for a while.

I held the air in store and it felt really nice, but the speakers yeah what people said about it it's true. I am not sure about battery life because I never bought one, but hey I believe you lol

When I switched from my 15 Pro, battery life actually felt like a slight upgrade to me. The number Apple gives is identical to the 16 Pro, which is good. I use my computers more than my phone, use a mirrorless camera and action cameras, and am not a gamer, so the Air battery life is really good for me. I keep mine on 80% limit and still have a good amount of juice to get me through a day.

I have to agree, I love my iPhone Air!

With my use the battery easily lasts me a day, the single camera is all I need and the speaker is enough for the odd occasion that I need it as my Airpods are rarely out of my ears.

From what I have seen, the Air 2 is rumored to come out during the Spring 2027 release. It is supposed to have a two camera setup (inclusion of the ultra wide angle camera), the A20 Pro processor, 12 GB RAM, a higher capacity battery possibly silicone carbon based providing longer use between charges. This is what I have seen regarding the upcoming Air 2. I currently have my Air from launch and have been pleased with this device in daily usage overall. I was hoping the Air 2 would have the USB-C 3.0 port but I have heard that it will still have the same USB-C 2.0 port and not support the same fast MagSafe charging that the Pro series iPhones will have.

Since having my Air I have not had any battery anxiety issues while using this device and have AirPod Pro 3 earbuds if I require batter audio when using this device. I really have no issue using my Air and love just how thin and light this device is.

IOS is same but different, I have both android and IOS and swap between the 2 as my mood takes me.
iOS is very different than many flavors of Android in some key aspects. The app switcher and multitasking are better on Android and so are the universal back swipes, especially on OnePlus phones.
However iOS offers more polished features in some aspects. The control center has been tweaked on Android to mimic iOS‘s but it falls flat, and shortcuts integration into the entire OS is incredible on iPhone. Easily working out your own theme on the Home Screen is also a little nicer on iPhone as basically all app icons are covered under and change.
What moods make you change and how differently do you use your phones in those cases?

Not trying to be a Debbie downer here but why change. They both are essentially the same thing. They have app, messaging etc…. But if one is used to the os I don’t think it’s worth transferring when is used to the same os.

For example I tried google pixel fold. It was top notch absolutely on par with what Apple offers. The whole system works android.

However I’m already used to Apple phone os since the first iPhone in 2007 and I just can’t change.

Same with Mac OS vs work windows laptop. I can work on my work laptop but at home and my side business I’m all Mac OS.

Windows and Mac do the same thing I just prefer Mac since I’ve been a Mac user since 2000.

All the current rumours suggest the Air 2 will be released in spring 2027. It’ll have dual cameras, definitely the A20 Pro chip, bigger battery (maybe silicone carbon) and possibly two speakers. All speculation at the moment but it all sounds good. I’ll probably pick one up at some point next year.

I have the current Air and so in love with it! The looks, the in hand user experience being so thin & light is superb and simply a joy. Performance is excellent, the single rear camera is very capable. Unfortunately the recent iOS 26.5.1 update has impacted battery life, but I’m hoping this will improve with future updates!

I'm well aware of the differences in how they do things but ultimately for the average user they all do the same thing.

In regards to mood, I like choice and choose to use my S26 Ultra or iPhone Air in the same way I decide if I'm going to wear my nikes or vivobarefoot footwear. Just depends on how I feel.
