Ya that pretty much looks white to me. How is the light gold in person? Does it have more color, or just a very warm white?

Hardly any color. The Air in Gold...

I asked this question to the OP, if you have a moment maybe you could answer it as well as you have gotten to hold the Air:

Question about the sides and comfort level of holding.

My big complaint on the last few iphones I have had, including the 16 Pro I now have, is that it is very uncomfortable to hold due to the flat sides and right angle sharp edges on the sides. The sides literally dig into my palm and fingers. This was never the case with older phones that had the rounded sides such as the 11. How are the sides on the Air? Are the sides and side edges any more rounded? Or is it still the same feel as the 16, 15, 14, etc?

Went to see the new iPhones. The colors are very light. Blue is barely blue in most lighting conditions. In some cases it is a bit darker. Almost looks white sometimes.

What happened to the Apple logo? It seems someone had a slice for breakfast as you can see part of the logo is missing in the top arc of the Apple.

Was trying out all the phones. So did not particularly check that. However I feel it quite nice to hold but also I never had any issue with the previous iPhones.

It’s a lot more comfortable to hold than the 14PM, but that had very sharp edges which the 15/15/17 and Air softened with slight curvature. I find it fine.

goodafternoon from The Netherlands... ;)

really happy with my Air, (Sky Blue) always had the Pro models (13,14,15,16) but this is the first time in years Apple surprised me with a new iPhone.
The color is almost white, with a dash of blue, depending on the (angle of) light
Feather light and a very nice grip (much better compared to my 16 Pro) which is very important to me.
I am using my Air without a case.
Coming from 6,3 inch Pro models before it's not a truly handed device anymore for me.

A real craftmanship by Apple.

Mono speaker is still pretty good, I think the sound is still rich even with one speaker. Tested with FaceTime, some Youtube videos and Netflix.

That's the blue?

Wow... It looks totally white to me.

Max volume is not the problem, try watching a video in landscape, its awful. Or even just scrolling trough reels its sounds awful.
Do you watch a lot of videos on your phone just using the built-in speaker(s)? Is the sound quality bad enough that you're going to return the Air (I'm assuming you purchased and are testing out)?

I’ve watched a few reviews and music videos on YouTube in landscape today and it’s absolutely fine. Sure, it’s not as rich sounding as the dual speakers on my 14PM, but it’s more than sufficient for casual content consumption. If I was wanting to watch a 2 hour blockbuster movie, I’d probably be putting on the AirPods though.

Yeah, the ones I saw in person the colors are very very subdued. It’s more like a hint of color. I ended up getting space black and I think I’m gonna be the happiest with that.

for me the grip is much better compared to my 14,15 and 16 Pro iPhones.
But its really personal, depends on the size of your finger/hand ofcourse

It's like you're only holding the display in your hand. Really a craftmanship by Apple

Thanks for posting this. Seems like we share the same exact sentiments. I upgrade to a Pro Max every year and the excitement is pretty much gone.

Seeing the Air actually gets me excited. I also run no protection so I'd get to enjoy its form factor.

I have a Pro Max coming today but I may pick up the Air and see how it goes. I honestly don't think the missing features would bother me much. I have a feeling there will be no going back after using the Air unless something is really missed.
