So I’m going to swap this out for a regular 17 and I think I’ll be very happy with that phone, and the screen only goes down to 6.3 in size. Everything else will get better though, including getting that silicon case again which I love.
However, from the same battery tests on YouTube, the battery life in the regular 17 is not significantly longer than in the Air. It appears that the cameras and screen size are the only genuine differentiators.

Don't forget about the Apple Magnifier app for small text/details, etc. Works great.

ETA: Loving the Air so far. I didn't realize what a brick my 16PM was until I was trading it in and had both in hand, haha!!

I didn't even know this app existed and that it was already installed...

3 days in, so far I love my Air. I dunno what any of the complaints are about, and the Cloud Blue is perfect for me. all the colors are nice, and I liked my previous white 13 Pro, but the barely blue I really love it.
What colour are the titanium side rails? Are they the same colour as the cloud white or do they have a hint of blue?

Took my Air off the charger at 6:45 PM. About to head home from work in a few @ 5:00 AM and I’m still at 40%.

That’s me using CarPlay and Waze on the way into work, my usual podcast listening at work, scrolling IG, browsing the internets, watching a few YT vids and doing it all on cellular. Obviously worse than the 16 PM I’m giving up, but it works for me. 🤷‍♂️

I feel the same and have no idea why anyone is complaining. It's light, feels great in the hand, battery lasts over a day for me, the colors are gorgeous, and the speaker sounds good to me. I thought since it had one speaker that I would only get noise in one ear but I hear it in both.

Took delivery of the iPhone Air in beautiful Space Black this morning.

I’ve watched so many unboxing videos so I didn’t know if I’d be as amazed, but wow I’m amazed. It’s absolutely incredible to hold and I’m genuinely excited to use an iPhone in a long, long time.

I’ve always been a Pro Max user, ever since it was a thing, and I really liked the 16 Pro Max, but I’m more than happy to have a year without the Pro Max. Yeah, I’m giving up the better cameras and the better battery, but I don’t take a lot of pictures, and the ones I do take are what I’d consider fairly standard and don’t require a lot of the Pro features. Also, my wife is the chief photographer and she has a Pro Max so I’m good.

In regards to the battery, I hear it’s really good, but I’ve already purchased the MagSafe battery pack for the Air that I’m more than happy to use. I’m thinking of it as a hybrid phone - an Air 95% of the time, then on those days where I’m out all day travelling, I have the battery to give me Pro Max battery when it’s needed.

Plus, because the 16 Pro Max is such a beast, I’ve been using it pretty much all of the time and not so much my M4 13” iPad Pro, which I absolutely love. I’m thinking I’ll now use the iPad more when I’m at home and that’s personally a big positive for me, having two thin devices that compliment each other.

The other often mentioned aspect of the Air, the speakers, is a non-issue for me. I only use my phone speakers for YouTube videos and doom scrolling, and the speaker is way better than I thought it’d be. Literally gone back and forth on YouTube between my 16PM and the Air and there’s really not much in it at all. Obviously if I was to put a film or music on I’d notice a difference, but I have Sonos headphones for that. For podcasts, YouTube commentary, etc, it’s perfectly fine.

The decision to go with the Air was also made easier by the fact that I find the 17 Pro models so ugly. Absolutely love the Air though. It’s different, it’s refreshing and it’s a pleasure to use.

The C1X is miles better. I had the 16e for about 3 days before returning it and returned to my 15 Pro. The C1 was about 2-3 times slower. Whereas the C1X is on par with 15 Pro when it comes to network speed. I hope this helps.
How is the iPhone Air C1X Speed on T-Mobile?

I'm really going to struggle to go back to a pro after this. Picked up my 14Pro last night and it feels like a brick. You have done f&^ked up apple. Even the bump is growing on me, on calls I use my index finger up the 'spine' of the phone and it rests nicely there. Legitimately the best iPhone since the 4.

After trying the 17 Pro and Air for a few days, I decided on keeping the Air. I don’t need a perfect camera to feel inspired, I need a phone that makes me want to take the shot. And every time I pick up the Air, it feels right. And keeping the 17 Pro would cost me daily comfort, joy, and ease. Not worth it.

I’m not chasing the best device, I’m choosing the best experience. And the Air is it. 😃
