It’s been over a week and I still love the Air. No issues at all with battery life.
It's likely, but probably still a few years out. I'd imagine a switch to aluminum at some point. And hopefully a lower starting price. My conspiracy theory is that the Air isn’t a test run for the fold; it’s a test run for becoming the “standard” phone (like how the MacBook Air is the “standard” laptop).
Bookmark this so you can laugh at me next year when I’m clearly wrong, but I’m thinking in fall 2026 we get the Fold, Pro Max/Pro, and Air (this time with two cameras and two speakers). The “18” takes the place of the “e” phone the following spring.
My mistake. It's actually a MOPHIE wire. The official APPLE wires work fine.Has anyone had any issues with the charging cables not fitting on IPHONE AIR ? When I have the bumper case on(and it definitely fits snug), my " APPLE " charging cable doesn't fit. I have to remove the case so I can charge. Just curious if anyone else noticed this ?
When in apple to see it today. Totally underwhelmed. A lady next to me had her iPhone iPhone XS out and I swear it was almost as thin as the air. Reminded me how nice iPhones used to look.

I had the same initial thoughts on the colors of the Air. In the Apple Store the white, blue and gold all looked almost the same. I bought the Light Gold. I have to say that now, outside of the Apple Store, the phone has a lot more color so it must depend on the lighting. At home, out in public, in the car, my phone actually looks light gold and no longer looks white like in the store.I picked up a 512GB Cloud White Air last night. Coming from a 5 year old launch day 12 mini. My first impressions.
- There are basically two colors black and white. The gold and blue are white as far as my eyes could tell in the store last night.
- Air fits in my pocket about as easy as my mini did.
- I could hear the speaker of the Air as it played a video game quite well in the noisy store and my hearing isn't the best.
- in 5 years with the mini I never used the ultra wide camera and the camera on the Air looks great.
- For an extra $200 I'm getting 50% more ram than the baseline phone (which is also a great phone for some people).
- The large screen is a blessing for my eyes (I'm 58) and typing is much easier than with the mini (obviously).
- iOS 26 looks pretty great on the Air.
- Liquid Glass was made for this phone and this design style is the future. Apple may kill the Air (which I doubt) but this design style is here for awhile.
- This is the right phone for me.
The Air is without a doubt my favorite iPhone I have ever had. I don’t understand the criticism for this one and to me it has no compromises.
The overall design, thinness and light weight is wonderful. I enjoy holding and using the Air and I never could say that about previous iPhones I have had (4s, 6s Plus, 11, 13, 15 Plus, and 16 Pro).
I’ll compare this phone to my previous phone, the 16 Pro
The battery is great. I kept hearing how it has bad battery life but I’m pretty much getting the same battery life as I did on my 16 Pro.
Speaker is very good. Going into this purchase this was the thing I was a little concerned about but it’s been really good. Listening to videos in YouTube and doing speaker phone calls is very good. Only a very slight downgrade from the 16 Pro but so slight it’s irrelevant. Even my wife who has a 17 Pro Max thinks the speaker on the Air is just fine.
Camera. I don’t think I ever used the ultra wide in the past, and the telephoto past 2x I think I would use maybe once or twice in a year. The 1x and 2x is all I use anyways so the camera does everything I want it to do.
I think the Air is fantastic and I’m really thinking that many of the complaints people have about this phone they are basing it on looking at the spec sheet and aren’t actually using this phone.
That's why it's nice that Apple just released 4 different models of iPhone, each with distinct strengths and weaknesses. Vote with your wallet. Not this again...it's great that they are nothing burger to you, but they mean something to others. This screams "it doesn't affect me so why would it affect others?"

If you dislike the Air that much why do you spend so much time in topics dedicated to the Air? Just to trash it? Why not spend time in the Pro/Pro Max topics instead? Not this again...it's great that they are nothing burger to you, but they mean something to others. like giving up a 16 Pro (Max) for a 17 Pro (Max) or even 15 Pro (Max) for the 17 Pro (Max).Crazy giving up a 16 pro for a air
aluminium (much softer material, risk of scratches is much, much higher) vs titanium, bigger/heavier than previous models. You are 100% right, not giving up things. No those phones you are not giving up things
I vastly prefer my Air over my 16 Pro Max, FWIW. How much nicer it is in hand isn’t something that’ll show up on a spec sheet but has a dramatic impact on the enjoyment of the device. No those phones you are not giving up things
