Three days into my Air trial:

This phone somehow uses WAY more power while sitting idle than my 15 Pro Max. Overnight, it lost over 25% charge, while my Max lost 2%. It feels like it uses more power sitting idle than my Max does while in use. This doesn't make sense to me. Is this normal and expected?

Every time I pick it up, though: It's a very slick phone!

I’ve had this issue as well. It’s only cropped up after the latest update. No sure if that’s the issue..

I push my air to limit to test from 100% to 0% how long the phone can last during a normal working day.

I left my house around 7am++ at 100 battery with no battery charged until it hit 0% before 8pm.

Is it considered decent for the battery life?

noticed a lot of iphone 14 pro max users (including myself) eventually switched to iPhone Air.

I guess it is due to the fact that 14 pro max is the heaviest pro max model to date?
I came from a 15PM and appreciate the Air every time I grab it, especially how light and thin it is, as well as its elegant design. The only thing I do miss is the additional cameras. As to battery life, I easily go for 2 days starting at 80% and never go below 20% as I am usually on a desktop or iPad much of the day.

is anyone else’s usb c port really loose? It feels like it doesn’t really click in and is easily removed compared to lightning.

I’ve had Air , coming from pros, since it came out and the battery life has degraded just enough for regret. Luckily I found the battery almost half on Walmart so I guess I just start carrying with me, I I don’t miss-place it.

What’s your battery health %?

mine is not loose.

but u are rite that compare to lighting which the plug in is more seamless and brainless.

the usb-c port is not so easily removed once plugged in.

Apple had to heavily discount the iPhone Air to sell it

i do not subscribe to icloud, so i backup my iphone to PC (external HDD) often.

A few iPhones later, including a robbery!…. Back in the fold and nice to be holding an Air again, missed you!

Great deal on 1TB model in space black here in the UK.

I see they have a 12 month payment plans on the Air first time I’ve ever seen that on Amazon. Normally for iPhones they are 5 months. Plus the price is still reduced to £769.

Been just over a week now of being back with the Air and I love & appreciate it more this time around vs when I got it at launch last year (it left a lasting impression & stayed in my mind)

Really enjoying the user experience, form factor, and in hand feel which is incredible despite the larger screen.

Looks and feels very premium and solidly built.

Everything is a breeze with the A19 Pro & 12GB of RAM.

Battery life has been no worse than the iPhone 17 I used for a while. It lasts longer than it has any right to do so, iOS 26.5 may be helping here!

The single camera system is obviously limited but it takes incredible photos with the 4 focal lengths available.

Second time around I’m all for it, and I’m sold! It’ll be interesting to see what Apple brings to the Air 2 next year.

Ha. James, I messaged you last year when you were taking some great photos with the Air. You may remember I was torn between the Air and the Pro. Eventually I went with the Pro and enjoyed using it a lot but the Air kept nagging away at me. I found myself still watching videos about the Air on YouTube and having adulterous thoughts.

So, as of last week, I’m back on a Cloud White Air and I’m going to use the Pro as a beta-testing machine when WWDC happens in a couple of weeks.

The Air is just such a nice device to hold and use. Who knows what I’ll flip-flop to next. This iPhone generation I’ve gone: iPhone 17 Pro Max to iPhone Air to iPhone 17 Pro and finally back to iPhone Air. Yes, I am insane.

I’m not sure I ever want a utilitarian, aluminium, very heavy iPhone again so I probably won’t even consider an iPhone 18 Pro (Max) in September, regardless of cameras.

The next iPhone that really interests me will be the 20th anniversary iPhone XX (or whatever it ends up being called).
