So many post defending their choice to buy the Air!

Why worry about what others think! Enjoy what you bought and stop trying to defend it!

Two real purposes of Air:

1-Show they can be innovative about iPhone, even though they know this is not practical and they actually only try to focus on selling pro and base, especially the base this year.

2-make this to be marketing focus, make everyone talks about it and forgets about no real improvement of Apple Intelligence after a whole year.

The amount of hateful comments for the air is insane right now. 'No one asked for a thinner phone' type of comments - even from people like mkbhd is crazy.

Firstly I asked for a thinner phone for years - I said I wish there was an air model for the iphone. Other manufacturers have been making thin phones and people have been buying them - so that indicates a lot of people want a device like this.

And it's even more stupid to make such a statement about the air when Apple have several products, and have had for years, with the air title - where thinness is the main selling point. These products have been selling well for years and continue to sell well. E.g. The Macbook Air is very popular and sells incredibly well.

These haters also forget from around 2010, part of Apple's huge rise in appeal was making powerful, thin and ultra stylish devices.

For people that hate the air, do they know there's another three models available?

Yes I know I’m going to get questioned/hate because I am ‘upgrading’ from my pro my model to a black 512gb air model. But it’s what I wanted for a while. I have other thin devices which are amazing and convenient to use whilst travelling for work/personal use. I can add iPhone air to this.
Personally I could care less what the iPhone 17 Air haters think, for myself it's about what fits your needs and is within your budget. I have been waiting for Apple to come out with a thinner device and they now have the Air and I traded in my 15 Pro for a blue one which is now my daily driver. Granted, I have only had the device for less then a week and long term usage well yield my final opinion on the device, but for now, I am liking it and I don't see me changing my mind in the near future.

Honestly why would one even listen to opinions that are contrary to their own?

MKBHD, Linus from tech tips, Mrwhoistheboss are not icons to listen to their opinion. They are not the ones who would be paying money for that phone, or using it for 3-7 years in advance.

If you like the device - just go, buy, use and enjoy.

To me personally it feels like a very beta product. And if Apple was to go “2010” they should have killed baseline 17 model and 16e, instead they are still selling those useless devices and giving people wide choice, so people would naturally compare and see Air as worse, literally “budget in soul” option. In fact, they could have made it 800-900$ to cover costs of low-tier iPhones and it would still sell well.

I love thin devices but not a fond of iPhone Air. So many disadvantages I just cannot close my eyes on. While I would have probably lived normally with single 48MP camera, I want and need two speakers because I often use them and kinda used to stereo audio on iPhones, AirPods are not my choice unfortunately.

Also I don’t get why Apple limited 4k120 to Pro iPhones, as well as no vapor chamber on Air. It would have totally made sense and battery life would have been better as well
A beta product that’s going to fund the foldable next year.
