Everyone is welcome to his or her opinion. Those on here who do their best to be objective, help others, and not purposefully try and rain on other people's tech parade, are people 1 take the time to read. I don't really pay attention to the vocal broken records. Said people don't pay my bills, aren't my friends, and could care less about me. They just want attention. Why should I empower them by caring what they think?

The amount of hateful comments for the air is insane right now. 'No one asked for a thinner phone' type of comments - even from people like mkbhd is crazy.

Firstly I asked for a thinner phone for years - I said I wish there was an air model for the iphone. Other manufacturers have been making thin phones and people have been buying them - so that indicates a lot of people want a device like this.

And it's even more stupid to make such a statement about the air when Apple have several products, and have had for years, with the air title - where thinness is the main selling point. These products have been selling well for years and continue to sell well. E.g. The Macbook Air is very popular and sells incredibly well.

These haters also forget from around 2010, part of Apple's huge rise in appeal was making powerful, thin and ultra stylish devices.

For people that hate the air, do they know there's another three models available?

Yes I know I’m going to get questioned/hate because I am ‘upgrading’ from my pro my model to a black 512gb air model. But it’s what I wanted for a while. I have other thin devices which are amazing and convenient to use whilst travelling for work/personal use. I can add iPhone air to this.
IPhone air is great but I wouldn’t buy an iPhone air 1… I feel like the iPhone air 1 is a step for the next iPhone air models so yes it’s a great phone since it brings something new to iPhone…

Show me a broker firm statement
Show me a subpoena, I don't share personal financial documents with anonymous internet clowns, are you daft? It's called a "brokerage statement" by the way. Secondly, I asked you a simple question, from which you ran. Let's try again- what is the most significant factor in terms of AAPL's stock price in the past couple of years? Pretty basic stuff, let's hear it. Here's a hint: well over $200 billion. I'm making it too easy, but this is a special case.

I haven't seen many "hater" comments, mostly just these threads. But here's my opinion.
It's too big. I want a phone the size of the 13 Mini. Hell if they want to, they can get rid of the camera bump and use that space for the battery. Nobody asked for a super thin phone. And its bigger than the 17 Pro.
At this rate I'll have my 13 Mini by the time phones are a thing of the past. Or nuclear fallout. Whichever happens first.

Why not you just say you are son of Tim Cook and Warren Buffett if you make up something anyway, be creative and fun ok?

I’m coming to the iPhone Air from having owned an iPhone 12 Pro for the past five years. I too was much more enthused by this device than the others through the various refreshes.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how it performs as its rekindled my interest in iPhone again. I'm also intrigued to see where this line takes us in the next few iterations and take one for the team in terms of getting a first generation product 😁

I understand why. They want the latest and greatest but unfortunately it (the new Pro Max) is ugly and dull as heck and has regressed in terms of materials. However the see the Air, appreciate the modern design, see it somewhat resembles the Apple of old but are frustrated that it comes with compromises. Hence the only way to psychologically justify their Pro Max purchase is to hate on the Air.

Just buy what you want and don't listen to people especially those who get paid to promote stuff on their channels.

I don’t know about that, but I certainly ignore ones who force a serif font upon me. ;)
Whoah, that’s pretty bad... I’m shocked. So the story short: I’ve installed FontFlex app on my iPhone for better text readability.

Turns out it changes my font input too😕 sorry for that, I thought it works only for me. Soo weird. And that’s again what Apple makes me do - no custom fonts for Safari or at least some basic CSS rules sheet.

Had to check on Safari on Mac, yes. It does. Had to manually set Arial to reply in this text editor. Well, probably will have to uninstall the app

The MKBHD bit is crazy, to be skeptical of Apple's claims of durability, battery life, etc. It makes perfect sense though - MKBHD prefers 100% function over form, and Apple gave him a 100% function device of his dreams, but not in black, so he seems to be upset that the air has that option.

The Air is the aspirational device. It is the essence of iPhone, elegant, slim, functional. The Pro is the iPhone maxed out as a tool, they could have called it the iPhone Ultra this year and it would have fit perfectly.

I think the hate the air gets is people just mad that they can't make the compromise of max battery life and have the best looking iPhone.

After reading all these different threads on the controversial Air - I just thought of why there is so much animosity against the Air !

TITANIUM ENVY

Have you noticed threads about the Pro and Pro Max being made of aluminum ?
And how the Air is made of titanium ?

That's the major reason why so many Pro / Pro Max users are upset.

Look how shiny the TITANIUM frame looks - compared to the dull brushed aluminum Pro / PM frames.

Also I don’t get why Apple limited 4k120 to Pro iPhones, as well as no vapor chamber on Air. It would have totally made sense and battery life would have been better as well
The contrary. Battery would be smaller and the extra heat dissipated would mean faster battery consumption.
The processor will be throttled and so preserve battery life

I find the EU’s battery test super interesting. Many comments here have said that battery life is the make-or-break issue, and I think it’ll be good.

48 hours for the 16 Plus and 40 for the Air. If it is that good, then battery life is not an issue and the discussion is form factor vs the Ultra Wide, Stereo speakers and some other camera functions enabled by the Ultra Wide.

Battery life would weigh pretty heavily imo.

Many complaints about the Mini were about battery life. It just wasn’t good enough for people’s current usage profile, which skews intensive and heavy, and with significant screen-on time.

If the trade-off is only limited to what I said before, then it would be pretty nice.
