Used ID.me and a military discount for a 1TB Orange iPhone 17 Pro Max and was on "Excited" for 28 minutes. Finally ordered for delivery on the 25th. Blue ones available on the 19th. Ordered in California.

Deep Blue Pro Max 512gb. In the app with a prefilled order at 7:02 central time, was held in the queue for a few minutes, and 9/25 delivery like basically everyone else. So we’ll see if that’s true or if it gets adjusted to 9/19.

Wow lots of demand for this “nothing new” phone, my first launch day purchase of an iPhone in quite some time. It took 13 minutes in the waiting lobby for them to let me into the order page from the 8AM EST click on the Apple link. Then my desired pickup time for release day kept getting shifted back. Now stands at 3PM. For an Orange 512 GB iPhone 17Pro.

The Airs are sitting on shelves like bricks lol. They are the only models left with launch day delivery
That depends on where you are. Out of the gate, iPhone Airs were only offering Sept 25 shipping, and I got in at 5:02. I chose to pick up on the 19’th instead.

So irritated... if these delivery times stick -- it'll be the first time in over a decade that I didn't get a launch day device. I'll very seriously think about canceling both the Air and the Pro Max I ordered and just skip the entire upgrade cycle. Disappointment has to be communicated somehow.

Something definitely seems weird this launch. Usually the after-launch-date deliveries have a date range. Everyone seemed to getting 9/25 to start with and later orders were getting a range of 9/24-9/29. Also my closest Apple Store at 8:03am wasn’t even offering launch day pickup. Finally, there was no availability for IUP store pickup in all of NYC and surrounding area, but there were pickup times for non-IUP orders.

I was ready to go to get my order in at 5am PT. Store did not open until 5:10 am. I placed my pre-order immediately and it was already at ships on 9/25. I was able to pick up at my local Apple Store. I do not like to do that. I had a bad experience 2 years ago with going into the store for pick up. I had an appointment at 6pm. All people that came late to their appointments were put in front of me. I had to wait 1 1/2 hours to get my phone. My sales person was an 18 year kid that did not have an idea how to take my trade in. Now I have to do this again to get it on 5/19...

I have never not had opening day delivery so i don’t know if dates ever get moved up. But last time I’m doing a preorder if it comes on the 25th. I’m getting too old for this.

I purchased five phones (2 for my wife and myself, 3 for company cofounders) a bit after 5AM. All had to be purchased via the app as the store wasn’t loading on my computer (Safari/Chrome) until 515ish.

Good luck!

It is a bit weird. It took me way longer than normal to get into the vets/military store, but things there are still available for launch delivery that people were reporting pushed out to the 25th at go live on the regular store. I could still get an Orange Pro (in all capacities) for launch day delivery, for example.

Same here. Every iPhone on release date until now. Ordered as soon as the store was open. It says 29 Sept. – 7 Oct. I'll cancel if it isn't here on the 19th.

Wait. So you are "irritated"m that you have to wait a week?

I can STILL order phone and get it at 9/19. Max silver 512 or black air 512. But canceling orders is a pain.

Got pickups for 9/19. Veteran 10% discount. Blue 256 pro. Orange one tb pro max. Applied a couple gift cards from previous devices. Trade in 15 pro and pm. Pretty easy.

Ok if what they are saying on their website is correct(14 days from when I receive the trade-in kit), they will still honor the trade-in. I haven’t gotten the kit yet, so I am good

Just bought… 9/25 delivery… wtf?

8:02 am 17 pro max orange - 9/25 :-/

Same. Hopefully it improves?

This went surprisingly smooth.

You need to stay on the „excited? So are we“ screen. After a minute or so, you’ll see the store.

I guess there is a queue system. If you refresh the page or restart the store app, you’ll be reset to the start of the queue I think.
I had the same issue. I also thought that maybe if I quit it would move me back to the start of the queue, so I waiting for a few minutes. Finally I quite and relaunched and it was immediately in the store, so the queue thing was not a thing.

I got in at 8:04, order was locked in at 8:05 and I got the 9/25 ship date. I could have picked up at a store on 9/19, but my nearest store is three hours away, so...

I was disappointed but not mad about the 9/25 ship date at first. But I immediately went back into the store after I placed my order and went through the selections as if I were doing a regular pre-order and at 8:06 it gave me a ship date of 9/19, which was very strange. Hopefully the ship dates will update. I am confident that this will be a big upgrade year because of the orange pro, air, and really great feature set on the 17. However, Apple has the logistics on these iPhone launches down to a science. I haven't had a phone that wasn't delivered on launch day since 2020, and there was a good reason for that.

I prob completed my pre order about 8:10 EDT and was surprised delivery was 9/25 and not 9/19 😳
