So sad, they finally innovated and people want the same old. I wish they weren’t as scared to keep pushing. If they added a telephoto lens, I’d switch immediately from Pro to Air.
I tried. I had to return it before the deadline. iOS interface didn’t fit right on the small screen. Why would he do that? Nobody was buying the mini either.
The plus didn’t flop initially. It was once the Pros came out that the Plus was less desirable, and once the 3 yr subsidized payment plans returned where there were many subsidized pro max deals making it cost the same or less than a plus.Interesting that every "fourth iPhone" (mini, plus, and Air) have all flopped in terms of sales. Maybe it's time to just sell the base, pro, and pro max.

But originally, the Plus offered a bigger screen, battery, 2 cameras vs 1, and higher maximum memory capacity. It was a pre-Pro Pro and sold well.
It flopped.

iPhone 14 Plus is still a bust but Pro demand remains very strong | AppleInsider
Investment analyst firm JP Morgan reports that overall the iPhone 14 family is selling better at this stage than its predecessors, with signs of more users than normal for January switching from Android.appleinsider.com
How do you expect a mini air would get double battery life with even less room?A new 5.4 inch mini coming in at <100g and 2 day battery life would sell like hotcakes. But that's too much innovation for lazy Apple.
Why rethink the design when all that is need is to rethink the price?Apple has been working on a second-generation version of the iPhone Air with a lighter weight, vapor chamber cooling, and a larger battery capacity, but Apple could rethink the design.
Most people don’t have this luxury to pick and choose. Of course if I had those two devices around I’d probably go for the lighter one, if all I had to do was stretch a hand and grab one. I chose what made sense and more practical for me - the 17 Pro 😉That is too bad. I own one and amazed every-time I pick it up how much better it compares to my old 16 Pro or the 17 Pro I tried. When I had both the Air and the 17 Pro, I reached for the Air every-time, as it felt so much better and the screen seemed so much better being larger. Definitely more upsides to it than downsides for me.
Battery life is just as good as my 16 Pro was and I never use speaker, as have Airpods, so could care less about that.
I would go for one if it didn't have the camera bump, and it was a little smaller. What's the point if it's only thin on one end, then has a thick camera bump.No one asked for a thinner phone with ******** battery life. Feels like this is just a stepping stone to the fold anyway so it doesn't matter much to them.
Jony, is that you? How you doin'?They should have the courage to make it thinner and remove the remaining cameras, ports, and screen.
Or go the other way, and make an actual small phone, with pro specs. (I don't need it to be thin, I need it to fit in a pocket, and I need to be able to hold it securely in one hand and still be able to reach every part of the screen with my thumb. The 3G/3GS was the perfect form factor. Also, didn't require a case. The mini was a step in the right direction, but it lacked features, especially the camera and ProMotion, and it was definitely not small enough.)Apple go the other way. Make a phone that is double the thickness and heavy, put in a 7 day battery. Sales will be off the charts.
I would instantly pay up to 2499$ for the iPhone Air Mini.If only Apple would launch the Air mini! I'd probably get one myself. Still rocking my 13 mini.
Ok. even less battery life and hope there will be more than 1 buyerI would instantly pay up to 2499$ for the iPhone Air Mini.
No discussions, just instant buy.
