The Air has a nice physical design, but everything else is a lot of tradeoffs. It's $100 cheaper than Pro, for less GPU cores, worse camera, no lidar, single speaker, worse battery life, less brighter screen, no fast charging...

But it's thin and light... And a slightly bigger screen vs 17 Pro, but almost every other stat is worse.
It doesn’t need to be better than the pro. It only needs to be better than what you already have. For me, it succeeds. I do have some concerns about the lidar as I did want to use that fro 3d scanning but a for as long as I’ve had this pro phone, I’ve only used that feature a few times.

I found it surprising the Air isn’t lighter. The volume of the phone is like half or two-thirds of a normal 17, you’d expect both to be packed with components, so the slimmer phone is less heavy right? But no.
