those of us that have selected Cydia option (Make life Easy) have it easy!
we will know 100% what's needed when it's released.that's because half the owners who stated that they got crappy at&t service were iphone users (owners) and the majority of the people from the survey/review that was done awhile ago were smartphone users as well. bottom line, iphone 4 Unlock is a dream come true for people like myself. Been waiting for this for months and t-mobile has great service in my area compared to at&t. Am looking forward to it..
When I had T-Mobile with my iPhone I had excellent service and no service at times in certain parts. I'm with AT&T now and the service is also great and even better in those certain parts.
The weird thing with AT&T though is at my house. I could be upstairs and have full signal, walk downstairs and have nothing at all.
I really want to unlock my iphone 4 and use it over sea since I'll be going for away for a month and Fido is way gona cost me a fortune for oversea roaming fees...damnit

I know it's too late to save the b3 shsh however, just in case in the future that it's needed again.How do you guys save the beta 3 shsh? Do you have to be a developer in order to save it? I am not an developer but i saved all my shsh. Does cydia do this for you or i will need TU to save?
I'm annoyed that I have to wait longer since I'm not on the beta 3 version of 4.2.1. Still, I'm happy that the wait is not far off!
There's an option in TinyUmbrella to save your SHSH. Just click "Save SHSH" and let it do it's thing and viola! You're done.
I know TU save SHSH. However, b3 wasn't release to the all people unless your are a developer. So my question is if cydia will help you save these kind of shsh if you are not a developer.
Oh, I gotcha. There's no way to go back and save that SHSH. You'll just have to wait until they expand the jailbreak to all versions of 4.2.1
I know it's annoying, I'm in the same boat.
YOu don't need to be "on" the firmware to save its SHSHs all you need is the phone ID and send a proper request to Apple servers.
This is correct! I just opened my Cydia and I see it says I have b3 blobs saved!
I am not a developer and never installed any of those betas!

Yes, i know that i do not need to be on the firmware to save the SHSH. I just checked with TU what SHSH my iPhone has saved.

How did it skip the beta 3 SHSH?
For those of you worried about not being a developer and missing the beta SHSH: Please check your Cydia homescreen first before freaking out. If you jailbroke early enough and told Cydia to automatically save your hashes, there's a good chance you got 4.2b3 without even knowing it!
I must have just gotten in under the wire to save the b3 shsh, I think I did TU back on Dec 4th and got it.
I jailbroke on the 16th though and used the make my life easier, but to this day almost a week later it still says waiting TSS request. So I am guessing for me Cydia isn't going to have b3 and I have to be damn sure I save that file.

As discussed in this thread and many other places it doesn't matter what iOS you are running. Go do tinyumbrella and see whats out there.
Does TinyUmbrella say that you have any SHSH saved? Cydia takes a while to update.
As mentioned, I did click "make my life easier" therefore i have those blogs saved. I understand that Cydia doesn't display all blogs immediately. That is why i checked with TU. And TU said that i have all blogs saved (from 3.1 to 4.2.1) but NOT beta 3 blog. I don't know how to make it more clear but you guys seem like i am freaking myself out.
Am I out of luck here???
I just got a new iPHone 4 with 4.1 on it. I tried saving my blobs for 4.1 but it won't work either with "make my life easier" or via tiny umbrella.
The only blob I have saved is 4.2.1.....am I out of luck now because I don't have 4.2.1b3???
