You're out of luck for now. I'm looking at having the same problem. The Home button on my JB 4.1 phone has gotten so bad that I'm going to have to get it replaced at some point soon.
Even if I manage to get one with 4.1 installed, it won't have blobs saved for the 4.2.1b3 version.

Yep, I am right there with you on the home button issue man. I know I gotta get mine replaced. I am just waiting to see what comes of the next jailbreak before I take it to Apple.

Cydia somehow skip b3 blog. Cydia doesn't display it (yes, i know it will take time) but TU also showed that it didn't save b3 blog.
Same here. I have done all the blobs on my 3GS, but for some reason it skipped b3. Neither Cydia or TU are displaying it.

I don't get this craze of quoting a site quoting that's quoting another site. Why not go to the source? This is just like everyone quoting redmond pie when they qyote dev team comments from their blog.

I think Cydia/Saurik is having some server problems or something is down. I have been pending TSS request in Cydia for over a week now. Luckily I previously had run TU to get my stuff. Basically guys I would NOT rely on Cydia to get your blobs.
TU just updated to tinyumbrella-4.21.02.exe a short while ago, give it a try. Be aware that TU will request SHSH from cydia too, while I don't think this will set you up for cydia if you never did the make my life easier button to start requesting on your behalf it will pull down what is available if you lost your files on your computer. It also defaults you to cydia for SHSH lookup which can mess you up for clean restores if sauriks servers are busy or down.
my phone has 4.1 on it....but I missed the cut off date to get my blobs saved. I received the replacement phone after 4.2.1 came out.

Nope. LimeRa1n or GreenPois0n will jailbreak 4.1 and your iPhone will remain untethered.
He doesn't have a 4.1 blob though, he'll need a truly untethered solution for 4.2.1 if he ever has to restore.
Yes, but that wasn't the question. If he simply stays on 4.1 and doesn't need a restore he'll be fine.
What I really want to know is if I update to 4.2.1 will I be able to untether it when the JB is available even though I dont have beta 3 blobs saved only blobs I have saved are 4.2.1

Well mine is HU so my second option now is to sell it on eBay etc and if I'm lucky enough to sell it for a good price. The time when I had mine I had no plans to go oversea but I over looked the possibilities....
The JB isn't even release yet. Do you expect us to know for something that we don't even know yet? Do you want us to give you an answer and find out later that it's wrong?

WTF has happened to common courtesy online? Is it immaturity as the average onliner is 18-24 or is it the anonymity of the Internet that allows people to show their true colors? Either way, show some respect. We all had to start somewhere, perhaps he's still learning. Instead of insulting him, why not help him by being productive.
There are millions of threads/posts when JB will release for each version. People don't bother to read/search nowadays. Moreover, isn't this common sense to anyone? Who knows what's going to happen tomorrow. For god sake, wait!

I find it funny how users in this forum like to answer questions that can simply be answered with google. While questions that can't be find with google; they don't like answering it.
For instance, i asked if anyone knows why Cydia didn't save the b3 blob on my iPhone even I have all the blobs starting from 3.1. I know Cydia has server problem,etc. And that is the reason why i used TU to check if the b3 is saved. TU said it didn't save it.
The short answer is that people are asses and the anonymity of online forums just encourages such behavior, because there's no accountability.
