While the MAcRumors site and the MD DOT site says it is ready, it is not. I could not load on my IOS 15.5 and when you call Apple they will tell you it is not active yet. So Fake News above.

Excited for one less thing I *have* to carry on me… but I’m curious to see how this gets operationalized long term in the wild.

It seems silly that all these records are now online (for state agencies) but I still have to carry something on me.

I've heard they have already been hacked. Hopefully not, but if it has been, reliably, this could end up being a nonstarter. Ouch...
Was reported that the stand alone app released last year in New South Wales was hacked.

In the details, one can see that whoever specified, developed, and approved the app didn’t have a collective clue between them.

So many common sense best practices weren’t built into the app from simple 4-digit PIN securing the code to the lack of real-time back end verification.

To be honest they should just scrap it and petition Apple to release its solution in Oz.

I'm in Maryland, just added mine w/ no problems. On the latest iOS version.
As posted earlier, note that this isn't a replacement for the physical card. Says it's only good for some TSA checkpoints ?

Who in their right mind would hand their iPhone over to a state trooper for them to take away?!
Currently this is for select TSA/Airports only. This is NOT to be used with any Police/Troopers as of now. When the time happens this SHOULD be a scannable feature like the Wallet that will bring up a code the officer can then scan WITHOUT handing over your device.

Sometimes it will help to read the articles and any links.

Waiting for Las Vegas, Nevada.

I don't like the fact it's such a slow roll out. I guess there is alot of regulations that Apple has to comply and go through. I'm glad, Apple is working on it though.
I'm thinking Apple has done what they needed. I think the real holdup is each state. I'm guessing each state has do provide some infrastructure and maybe design a license that "fits" the wallet app? Designs have to be implemented and then approved. And since it involves government it will be done expensively and inefficiently.

Confirm s/w is up to date and if so do a two button reboot.
Yeah, I did that twice :/ 3/4 people in my family don’t have the option yet, the one that did has the oldest phone, a XR (the rest of them just got 13s a week ago, and I have a 12 Pro Max). Maybe it’s rolling out to older devices first for some reason? Idk

It is not working yet! The Maryland.gov site has all the information and all. However, when I try to add it to Wallet in iOS 15.5, it only shows Arizona. When I call Apple Support, they stated that the Maryland state service is not yet online or they need to turn the service on.

I see the same thing. Not available yet, only shows Arizona as of now.

I was also unable to on my own phone, but my partners phone allowed her to do hers, so it’s definitely active. Probably just taking a second to go out to every single phone. When Apple announces it on their Newsroom, I think everyone will definitely have it, so let’s wait for that

First - obey the laws and you won’t have to worry about that. Secondly, I would, as have no desire to carry any wallet or cards anymore. Love that Apple is doing it and State of Ohio will allow it soon!
I live in the UK and do not drive. I'll be ok!

I’m in Maryland and when I click “add driver’s license” it goes right to Arizona :/ I’m on 1.15

Same for me. The only option is Arizona.

Confirm s/w is up to date and if so do a two button reboot.

I'm on 15.5 and rebooted the phone. No change.

It must be rolling out somehow other than everyone all at once. I'll just try again later.

That sure is a lot of requirements, caveats, and very limited support. Maybe this will be useful in a decade but the more details that come out about this, the less useful it seems.

Police won't take it, TSA still reserves the right to check more thoroughly, the liquor store probably won't accept it (I had to teach them that they could accept Apple Pay.)

Maybe if you're a really frequent flyer who is also TSA prescreened.

Same here. I’m chatting with Apple support. I’ll let you know what I learn.
I had the option to update to the 15.6 beta, and that made the option appear. I think it’s just a matter of the phone not realizing it’s available immediately. An update might force it, otherwise the only option is to wait ??‍♂️
