I was thinking if apple does indeed make the OLED a "Pro" or more expensive model whatever you want to call it, I wonder if they will include AirPods and a dock. Like apple includes the dock for the ceramic watch?

Highly doubtful.

If the polished steel frame rumor is true, I predict a lot of people needing to purchasing AC+ or a good case, as that frame will easily dent.

If it's glass on both sides, it would be a crime to hide it with a conventional case. Time for the iPhone Bumper 2017 edition. ;)

I'm sorry, but that logo on the picture looks like Goat . se. I call shenanigans.

No more 4chan for you.

It's taken them this long to figure out what BlackBerry already had years ago!

A crappy product with a failed business model?

I'm hoping it's not polished. The matte stainless steel frame on the iPhone 4 didn't dent.

Or painted. The natural finish would look best and be most durable.

This render is far too attractive to be an Apple design. It needs more antenna lines and really thick bezels to make the cut.

Jony Ive: "Hold my beer..."

My 7+ has poor signal quality vs my 6. I wonder if stainless steel will help improve signal strength?

SS is much more durable than aluminium. My iPhone 4 and 4S to this day have held up much better to Being dropped on the SS frame compared to aluminium frames. It does not bend easily
It's so hard choosing from their 10,000 conflicting patents (glass, steel, alu, anodized alu, molybdene, berillium, titanium, self repairing nano, liquid metal, self-healing epoxy, anodised liquid metal, sapphire, ....)

One thing for sure: the lucky guys that will manage to get their orders through on first minute, will sell those smartphones on eBay for inordinate amounts of money.

It makes Zero sense to be calling the next Apple phone, "iPhone 8"

Unless Apple breaks tradition, the next iPhone will be "iPhone 7S"

A name mix-up is totally possible because of the 10-year Anniversary. However, that also makes "iPhone 8" make even less sense.

"iPhone Edition" makes sense (even if I dislike the name) for a new model that wasn't previously available (think: Pro model)

... exception: websites want clicks/visitors. Using "iPhone 8" is likely to make sure these articles are found. I think it's BS to be feel you have to follow trends to get clicks, but that's how the web works....

Although I think it will look gorgeous with the polished stainless steel, it's going to have to be WAYYY stronger than what they're using now. My AWS2 was scratched within a week, it's not strong at all.

It could end up looking like a stretched out Apple Watch, considering the design, rumored consistent 4mm bezel, and the stainless steel frame.

We've already seen Apple Watch influences with Force/3D Touch, the Taptic Engine and waterproofing.

An OLED display, wireless charging, and no ports are yet to come but we know they'll probably happen.
Don't necessarily think so. It's more of a back to the roots thing (for me at least) design wise. Full glass panels with stainless steel frame sounds much more like iPhone 4/s (iPhone 5/s in a broader sense) to me than Apple watch

No protruding camera please.

Hmmm.... choices....

1) Better picture quality.
2) Slight bump.

I think most people would choose (1) since they put a case on the phone anyway. You can only engineer away the physics of light so much.

Ignoring the text of his article for a moment, just wanted to say that this mockup looks amazing, resembling my all time favorite 4 and 4S models.

I got the SE right now... love the form factor, and really hope that Apple stays true to this design, at least for one model. While the curved edges on the Samsung phones look cool, I don't think they are very practical.

Too many rumors but none are as much exciting. But, if they can come up with Touch ID under the OLED, I am in!

Out of all the leaks this is likely closest to the final product for the reason that Apple has to protect their design patent based on previous products and not encroach on competitor's design.

It will include EarPods and a USB cable with power adapter. Most expensive iPhone 7 does not come with extras and there's no reason this will be different. AirPods are what, 160? Dock is what, 50? No way you are getting over 200$ worth of goods for free.
I'm not even joking: My guess is that the OLED iPhone 8 will cost $1200
This is why I'm absolutely certain there will be a 7S and 7S plus.
Also, the OLED model will be limted and sold out in seconds.
The forum will rage, I can already tell.
