I went from 2g > 3g > 3gs > 4 (att) > samsung fascinate > droid x (verizon) > iphone 4 (verizon and happy!)

I LOVED my 2g, I felt as far as build quality/feel it was by far the best so far!
When I got the 3g/3gs it felt cheap, but I loved the form factor!
The 4 as far as features is amazing, but an all glass phone made me nervous!

I probably would've had a 3gs in there too, but during the time it came out I was primarily using a work issued Blackberry.
I also didn't vote in the poll because there really wasn't an accurate choice for me.

I would vote as the first option since you started with the original. I too switched to an android phone as well, I just wanted to see where everyones starting point with iphone was. If they were early adopters or "newbies".
There are endless poll options I could have posted, however I felt people could explain by posting!
I have to see a few patients and will be back in a couple hours, I look forward to reading when I return!
I only have iPhone 2G and iPhone 3GS and for sure later is the best. I'm not planning having iPhone 4 I'd rather wait for iPhone 5 cuz it will be the best ever.
