iPhone firmware update 1.1.1 released!

that's awesome.....too bad just last night the top of my screen is "incorrectly registering my touch". I set up a request for repair......this sucks......for me🙄
 
Update complete. iToner ringtones are gone.... grrr.... ok Ambrosia... lets see how quickly you can get an update out...

too scared...i chose "restore and install"...which was sort of my only choice. i apparently could not, after the update showed up, go to 1.0.2 then install the new update. downloading now...

wow my heart is pounding. what a nerd 🙄
 
downloading now.... funny you guys say the volume will be a bit louder.. i just had my phone w/ applecare... touch screen had a dead spot.... they sent me a new phone... keep in min i was #2 in line at my local store july 29th... the new phone the sent me has an extremely louder speakers as well as ringtones etc.... im thinking any louder & i'll blow mine.
 
anyone using itunes 7.4.0 and custome ringtones update?

has anyone updated that is using custom ringtones via cleverboy's method and using itunes 7.4.0? Are the ringtones still usable?
 
downloading now and wow 152.3 MB must be pretty big, maybe more stuff who nows, but i am happy!!!😀

Loving my 3rd party apps too much to update

I assume this will break installer.app and all of the wonderful apps in Community Resources,
so I will wait until everything gets sorted out. I'm very interested to hear from the guinea pigs!
 
interesting wording on the warning: "inability to use your iphone DUE to unauthroised software modification is not covered under your Iphone's warranty..."

That means that there has to be evidence that the inability to use the phone is due to modifications...it will be interesting to see how Apple handles this all in practice.


So, how's the update?

I have iTunes 7.4.1 and am updating my iPhone to 1.1.1, so I will post back once I find out more.

I don't know what I will do if the ringtones won't work ... probably go buy a Nokia... Just kidding. 😛
