I'll be at the apple store on 9th November and gladly be switching from Orange to O2.
If you don't like the cost, don't buy it and shut up moaning!

You jest - voicemail usually costs me £10 per month at 12p/min !!!http://shop.o2.co.uk/tariffs/simonly
No data, but have you actually used The Cloud WiFi? To say it sucks, is an understatement. I found the connection kept dropping when in London, and the speed was literally a crawl. Free voicemail? How tight are you, it costs peanuts?
plus £10/m for WiFi roaming.....I can get unlimited data added to my T-mobile plan for £7.50.
no 3g in uk? that means that the rest of europe also won't get 3g iphones. lame, no deal for me. bring a 16 gb iphone with 3g in europe and edge in US where i can switch sim cards or a good international roaming tariff then maybe i'm interested.
i almost hope the iphone flops in europe. this would force apple to become more competitive and make better offers. right now they think they will be successful no matter what crappy tarif's they offer.
Surprised no-one seems to have asked about a PAYG option...
It is easy to unlock. I did mine, just landed in the UK 3 hours ago, and am happily using a spare Virgin pay-as-you-go sim card in it.somebody please unlock that mother****er and let me use t-mobile.

Thanks iPhone Dev Team!

iPhone requires a new 18-month contract with O2. Existing O2 customers will have the option of keeping their existing phone number and upgrading their account to work with iPhone while new customers can also simply and easily transfer their current mobile number to O2.
