Theres many 'issues'.
  1. You have to have extra movement to "show" the buttons in the menu bar. No way to turn that ridiculousness off.
  2. If you play video, it doesn't show, e.g. netflix.
  3. Camera doesn't work either and can't use webcam on mac as a replacement.
  4. Notifications show up on the mac, and then go to the iPhone. its weird. I don't need to see my iPhone's notifications, this seems pointless.
  5. You can't control an iPad from a Mac, why not?
  6. I don't really see the point, other than I can use Duo Mobile 2nd Factor to get codes instead of opening my phone.

I love the new feature. I find it unusable at the moment though.

Presently I am unable to type any spaces using any application via iPhone mirroring. I can type, but cannot input and spaces. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I am on a M1 MacBook Pro with the most recent developer beta and iPhone 15 pro max with the most recent developer beta as well.

See screen recording attached for reference.

I appreciate anyone that can help me solve the issue. Restarting both machines didn't help :(

Update on this issue. I have figured out that I can input spaces now, but I have to hold the "option" key down while pressing space bar. Any idea was setting might be causing this idiosyncrasy?

Good point, fixing that!

If there's an iPhone app that requires landscape, it will automatically go to landscape mode. So in YouTube for example, if I play a video and then expand it to take up the full screen, it will swap over to landscape mode. I can't manually put it in landscape mode, though.

It was a name decided on by my cat.

You can take a Mac screenshot of the iPhone on your Mac, but not an iPhone screenshot, as far as I'm aware.

No, it's iPhone only.

I'm not sure on this. When you try to use it with Continuity Camera on, it pops up an error message telling you that it doesn't work with it, so I'm not sure either way.

This is bad wording on my part. Your iPhone doesn't need to be like on your person, but it does need to be nearby. Like in the same room. I'm going to update that.

@jclo There is an error in this article. The 2018 MacBook Air doesn't support Sequoia (MacBook Air 2020 and later), so it can't use the iPhone screen mirroring.

Is there a way to bypass the AppleID requirements on the Mac side? Such as on a workplace or borrowed Mac, where you can't or wouldn't want to use your personal AppleID.

3rd party mice with secondary click settings changed to Left Side (I'm a leftie) still register as a Left Click.

What’s the point if it has to be close to your Mac, you can get just use your phone; I hoped it would work over WiFi not Bluetooth; I want to keep phone charged in another room and use my iPhone on my Mac downstairs but it won’t connect, don’t see the point of it

It's a neat feature but the swipe direction is wrong. It follows the so called "natural" direction that is anything but. I can't wait until the settings get updated to change the swipe direction. There's nothing worse than swiping right and the screen moves left.

This feature is just useless - what's the point in mirroring, if every time I try to connect, I have to fiddle around unlocking and locking the phone. If I've had to go to the trouble of picking up the phone, I'm as well just doing what I wanted to do on the phone itself.

iPhone Mirroring doesn't work with Disney+ App (only audio, no video)

It used to work in the beginning. Some Disney+ update disabled iPhone mirroring?
