iPhone Nano Coming in June, But Not to United States?

This reminds me of the G5 PowerBook next Tuesday rumors.

I hope it's not like that one. That joke comes up every so often. I think that joke is funny, but I just get annoyed every time I hear about the iPhone nano... maybe next year I'll laugh about it.

I believe the idea of an iPhone Nano is just downright stupid. Seriously, how small is small? It already fits in your hand great! Besides, it'll over saturate their product line, cause tons of issues with developers and the new hardware, not to mention the app store, and quite frankly, it just doesn't make sense at all.

If $200 is still too much for the most advanced phone in the world from an A-List company, then you need to start looking for another RAZR. Apple is not known for "half-assing" their products, and they won't start with the supposed iphone nano. RIM's Blackberry doesn't need to bend their pricing, and neither should Apple.

I seriously hope all these rumors fade away and the idea is finally laid to rest. *sigh*

yay the battery will last longer

nay for the apps i have since they probably will not work on it! (if we ever get it in the states)

It was a while before I laughed at the PowerBook G5 rumors.

But now, it really tickles me -- especially the mockups.

And the tablet rumors…
Ouch. Zing. You got me on that one.

A Newton user who hopes we see a tablet someday, but realizes that it is probably already here in the form of the iPod touch and iPhone.

I know there are some folks out there who wish the iPhone was smaller. IMHO, Apple will never compromise the screen size. Too much riding on it with the App store. Rule of business is that you don't kill the golden goose.

if the phone was any smaller I doubt the person on the other end could hear you speaking since the mouthpiece you speak into would be about an inch below your earlobe!

(Assuming you're not joking...)

This of course is not a real problem -- for proof just look at Bluetooth Headsets such as Jawbone :)

Of course, the iPhone Nano is already in America. Products like this have been used by the wealthy, military, and crime-families for decades. However, many of the nations will wait for those tracking-devices to be released to the masses.

iPhone nano will never happen.

I think Apple is throwing a red hearing here. They got sick of the recent leak of their products before they could officially release them and are using the juicy iphone nano rumor to throw everyone off.

That's fine by me I'd rather be blown away by whatever they really come out with.

I've wondered about that myself. Could be I guess. I'd love a suprise at WWDC. :D

iPhone Nano??? Great so now I gotta squint harder to play iShoot??? I like the screen size currently. Won't be buying this.

lmao.

It amazes me that people get so caught up in this RUMOR. Also, you can't just say there will never be one. People said that the computer mouse was stupid and would never work in the long run. People said that there would never be a computer for personal use. People thought that it would be impossible to fit a computer into something that would fit on your lap at some point. Maybe there won't be an iPhone nano, but you can't say it will never happen. It may not happen, it might. No one really knows except Apple.

 lmao I think we all realize that no one knows except Apple. Why would anyone want to think that way about things? where is the excitement? the anticipation? if you lived your life with that way of thinking, you might as well dig your grave now. Of course there will be rumors, whether they are true or false. That's why they are called RUMORS. And if it bothers you that people are interested in such a 'terrible' thing, then go be a debbie downer and don't comment on a website that is primarily ABOUT rumors; hence the name: macrumors.com :apple:

Well, it's interesting to see that little nuggets keep adding to the rumor that won't die.

The reality is that something was being worked on, even if it's not released soon. Case manufacturers wouldn't spend the thousands of dollars tooling new dies for new cases unless the specs for something got leaked to them somehow.

And now we see that some chip manufacturers are leaking that they are getting chip/parts orders for some new Apple phone product.

I think that it will be interesting to see what happens over the next few months. AT&T could even get this, since Apple could announce it in June and not have it out until August/September. On that schedule we might not see wider spread testing (and the inevitable leaks) until the spring.

It's an interesting rumor, only made more interesting by the people that get offended by the thought of a stripped down iphone making them less l33t for owning the current model.

red hearing

No, no, not "red hearing"

Who wants thinner? I want narrower and maybe shorter. A smaller screen is okay with me. Make the screen 16x9 for example, and it wont effect most movie watching. Only do three icons to a row on the interface.
