couldn't you just buy the phone for $600, cancel your contract a couple days later, pay the $175 fee and pay $775 outright for it instead of having to pay 1k?

iPhone Education Discount?
It just struck me (as I drove to several AT&T company stores this past weekend trying to outline my June 29th strategy) that I've not seen any information regarding an Apple Educator's Discount for the iPhone.
They have it for their other hardware - and if they'll offer it for the iPhone, I wonder if they'll apply the discount at the AT&T stores, or only at the Apple stores?
I've looked everywhere on the web that I can think of for this tidbit of information to no avail - the answer would dictate my plans on getting one. Anyone have a clue or care to comment?

Good point but don't see anything on this either. I still plan on getting one but if I can get my GVT discount on top of it that would be great. Anyone else know? Im sure a call into the store would work but we might get 10 diff answers!
