I saw a video of SBSettings on youtube myself and that was the clincher, apples lock down had to go at that point.
It's how things should have been in the first place!

I've always said that SBSettings and Backgrounder alone were reason enough to jailbreak your iPhone.

What im hoping for is the ability to change the SMS tone to a custom one and change the email notification tone.

Currently all the sounds for SMS SUCK and I live in a place where 3 of us have an Iphone so we never know whose is going off. We can change ringtones so lets make it smarter and do SMS as well.

Also the Email notification is a single bloody beep. Again how about the abilty to use a custom sound. I cant hear a short 1/2 second beep all the time.

I hope they remove all tones. It's incredibly rude to be in public and bleep and blurp and make annoying noises with your phone. Even worse in the workplace or in class. Vibrate, my friends. Vibrate.

Not that it impacts me, but I guess there's yet another way to prod iPhone 2G users to upgrade...

I'm still on 3.0.1 to keep my ability to tether... This may be just enough to sway me into upgrading... We shall see. Hopefully someone can find a way to crack open the tethering option in 4.0.

I can tether with 3.1.2 using Blackra1n..

Push works just fine for me with several third party apps: Mint.com, BeeJive, CNBC Real-Time, Trapster, etc. Worked so well on some of them I turned them off because they were annoyingly interrupting with too many alerts!
Perhaps in the US, but not with my iPhone in France.
