iOS?
Cisco won't give that up period! It's still very much an active brand for them.
iOS?
100% wait until June. You'll get much better iPhone along with OS4Oh god :S
I've got an iPhone 3G S coming tomorrow from an upgrade.
Think I should hold out until at least this Thursday or June at the most?
Let me know of your suggestions guys.
No, they already have that, and no.Are you sure? I thought it was a "portable" not necessarily a mobile device.
I think if they want to show the distinction they should do:
Mac OS X Desktop
Mac OS X Server
Mac OS X Touch
They didn't introduce new computers at the 2009 and 2008 iphone OS event, so I doubt they are doing it now. However, in 2009 they updated the Mac Pros, iMacs, and Mac Minis two weeks before this event as a silent update, and in 2008 they updated the Mac Pros two weeks after the 2008 iPhone OS event.new mbp as well?
100% not. The iPhone OS events have always been in late March (this year it's pushed to early April) and the new iPhones were always unveiled at the next WWDC, and that's probably happening again this year. What I'm curious about is whether we'll see the next gen iPhone at this event. IIRC, previews of 2.0 and 3.0 did not coincide with announcements of the 3G and 3GS.
Which apps really need to run in the background? Internet radio/Pandora types for sure. But what else? Most of the other apps I use remain static when I exit to do some other task. My gut feeling is that Apple will provide developers with the tools to allow their apps to run in the background, but that Apple will be the ones to decide which apps actually receive approval. I wouldn't be surprised if some developers will have to justify their reasons for allowing the app to run in the background.
Quick, time to come up with a list of unreasonable demands so that outrage can be expressed when they're not included.
If Apple implements multitasking it will be done well and work great in 256 MB. They new what they were developing, they new what the iPad would have, they planned this a long time in advance, it will all work and work well.
how is the Kool-aid, anyway? not too sweet? no? not too bitter? gooooood. drink it up. mmmmmmmmm, yummy.
I reckon there will be a lot of happy campers who just bought their iPads, knowing that they'll get a (hopefully) free software update in June/July.
It feels like Apple have been holding back a tidal wave of new product info thats just about to hit us!
Oh god :S

Wondering if it's possible that the iPad actually has this technology and that it'll be "activated" through iPhone OS 4.
It would be pretty sweet.
How about
OS X CE?
If 4.0 has multitasking and comes to the iPad, what will the iPad haters have to whine about?
