I got an extra 8GB iPod touch and I'm not sure its worth the trouble to sell it so I'm trying to see what I can use it for. I got both an iPhone and an iPad.

Those of you who have iPhones or even Android phones, What do you use your iPod touch for? I won't make this a poll. Its just a thread, so drop your opinion. I'll read all of em. Heck, maybe even suggestions on how to sell it that isn't a huge hassle.

I gave mine to my 9 year old stepdaughter as a Xmas gift.

My 5g Touch was purchased as a dev/beta/jailbreaking device.

It's now my main device out of convenience when I'm home. I opted for 64GB, and thanks to that I keep it well stocked with music and games. It comes in handy, and I worry less about it than an iPhone.

Between iMessage and Hangouts I have communication well covered, and have it configured as my "all around" device.

I have all my music, podcasts, TV shows and apps on my iPhone. Though it's only a 16gb, so I've only got 2gb's left :$

When I get home, my phones normally dying. I normally carry my external charger though, so battery life isn't an issue when I'm on the go.

However, I only use the battery pack when my phone is 10%. This is why I charge my phone when I get home, it's normally around 20%.

My iPod has EVERYTHING on it. However, I only use it when the phone dies. At night, I use the iPhone because I find it awkward watching a film on te iPod then getting a text on the phone and then switching devices.

My iPhone is a 4S and my iPod is the 5th generation.

I use my gen5 nano as the music source for my car. It is permanently plugged in to the USB port. Every now and then I will take it out and update the music on it.

I use it to save battery on my iPhone.

I use it mainly to hold all the things that don't fit on my 8GB iPhone 4.

I also enjoy the extra real estate of the screen, even though I don't really use it to read anything.

I has 2 games that I play, the rest were there from a long time ago...provably March 2013, since that's when I put my iPod touch to stay in a drawer for a year.

I use mine for streaming music. The dock I have only fits 30-pin devices, and I have an iPhone 5s, so my phone will not fit in the dock. My iPod touch 4g will, so I just use it for that.

I use mine mainly to stream Spotify and other services to a set of AirPlay-connected speakers. It has a home in a dock in my kitchen. Could take it on the road in a pinch, I guess, but it's only 16GB so much much storage space.

I only use the iphone when I am out and about, anytime I am in the house, the ipod touch is my super thin and light iphone of the future. This way I can use my device in the house as much as I want, and never have to worry about charging things. Since iphone charges while home, ipod charges while away.

iPod touch 4gen 8gb is my PDA, my spotify player and podcasts too.
I have a basic phone for calls/SMS and long battery.

And i have an iPod nano 2gen 2gb in the box. It works but rarely use it. And i can't sell it with play/pause button malfunctioned...

I used to think that my iPod was redundant, but I found an excellent use for it; movie watching.
I just subscribed to Netflix but there wasn't a lot of tv shows that I'd watch. So my iPod has a lot of tv shows downloaded from MovieBox, which roughly takes up 15gb. I'm also contemplating whether I should update the thing to iOS 8, since it's not my main device, but I do use it often.

What used to be iPod classics, but now I use them in the car.

I also have one for my speaker (even though it supports AirPlay). I like the look of a docked iPod on the speaker, especially if I have a party so everyone knows what's on the speaker.

I don't have an iphone. I have a 5G iPod touch and an iPad mini with unlimited AT&T data plan.

I use both for making & recieving calls with my google # and send txts via iMessage.

I love my iPod touch, and use it as my travel camera to take pics for my travel blog.

I do hope the touch gets an update soon. Would love an even better camera like the 4.7" or 5.5" iphone 6 got.

And a faster chip of course.

I have no need for an iphone.

I use my 32GB 4th gen touch for all its intended purposes. Music, Games, and Internet. I use my iPhone 3GS for typical phone stuff (Texting, Calling, and like 4 games). I got my touch in 2012 refurbed for Christmas, then i got my iPhone off craigslist in January.
