I picked up a Space Gray iPhone SE 64 when the Apple Store opened on 3/31. I was really looking forward to getting back to a pocketable iPhone form factor from my iPhone 6.

I am on the phone all day for business. I have several over-the-ear boom mike Bluetooth headsets that I have used for years with various iPhones. The sound quality has always been excellent.

Bluetooth headset telephone audio quality from the SE is distorted to the point of being unusable on all of my headsets. The proof (to me, at least) is that I can unpair them and pair them back to the iPhone 6 and make FaceTime audio calls without a problem.

After some experimentation with various callers, it appears that this is a reception-only problem from the SE to the Bluetooth device.

Interesting. I've had no Bluetooth problems in my car.

Sounds like something that deserves its own thread.

That is odd - I'd get that replaced... I've used my SE with my car and some Bose BT headphones that I used with my 6s and everything appears to be exactly the same from a performance/quality standpoint for me...

Waiting for mine as I just ordered from Apple but I bought 2 others in store for my sons. Tried one with Bluetooth in my F-150 and it works without issue

What was your quoted delivery time when you ordered it?

Apr1-Apr5 was original delivery estimate at time of order. It arrived in St Louis this morning around 1:22am, then went to Windsor Locks CT, then arrived at Latham NY around 7:45am.

I'm really psyched now since when I order stuff from Small Dog Electronics (in VT) stuff that goes from there to Latham invariably arrives my place next day via UPS. So Monday 4/4 delivery sounds right!

Same problem here with Sony Smart Handset. No problem with car.

I went into Apple store today, and they had the space grey 64GB. Cancelled my online order. Also bought
a black leather case since they did not have the black silicone in stock. Looks good. Now to set it up.

Okay, but I don't know how to find a screen with nothing on it. I can pull up calendar.

Interesting that SE orders are backordered so much. For "lackluster" sales, the ship dates with free shipping on the USA store is April 20-25. I already have mine, but it's interesting that there is a 3 week wait on the estimated ship date. Give Apple a month to get caught up in production?

My iPhone SE came about an hour ago.

Of course, I've had very little interaction with it considering it's been "Restoring from iCloud" with no progress, for half an hour now.

Are there any "side effects" to putting all my old stuff on the new iPhone?

Not that I've noticed. I just had to sign back into to all of my accounts. However, the space used went from 11 GB on my old phone to only 7 GB on my new one.
